I have had acne since I was young and medicated it since I was a teenager.
Obviously when I was TTC and now that I am pregnant I have come off anything Retin A related and potentially harmful.
My skin was ok in the initial stages of pregnancy - but this week (16 weeks) I have started to get severe on my chin and neck with oozing spots (TMI!).
Has anyone had this and it went away or had a remedy that was safe to use during pregnancy?
I am happy to take the symptoms as they come for this pregnancy and know this is only cosmetic but a bit worried this may continue to get worse....
Everyone said during pregnancy my acne would clear and I would 'glow'....hmmm thinking that might be another myth! 🤣
Avoid all dairy and any hormone effecting meats and you should see it start to get better. You could use benzoyl peroxide 2.5% that can help but it’s dryinf so I would start off slow. The area you’re talking about is hormonal acne so anything you can do to balance hormones. Avoid dairy, drink water, no stress, gentle walking Keep moving xx
Just in case anyone else is reading this post with a similar problem - been doing research and salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are not suitable in pregnancy....
My search continues for something that is safe and works.....
