Hi am a mum of a 5 months old baby. I am wondering if I can give her tap water.

Yes she can have sips of tap water if your in uk or somewhere where water is fine to drink. Just not loads as milk is their main source of fluids and food. unless constipated but you can also give tiny amounts of fruit juice with water ie prune juice or orange juice Very dilated. Breast milk is better than water if your breast feeding?
I’ve never gave any of mine water from tap I’ve always boiled the water and let it go cold that way until they were over 6 months and I’ve always done it even when adding some juice or a drop of orange juice. Xx
At this stage you still need to boil the water and let it cool down. Would mainly still be feeding milk though I only gave water as an addition during hot weather x
Is there any reason why you want to give her water? Unless constipated or very hot (which it definitely isn't in The U.K. At the moment) I wouldn't give her water just stick to milk. If it's water to mix with the formula then it needs to be boiled and made up whilst hot and left to cool.
If it's because they're unwell and refusing milk then I'd opt for water mixed with diarholyte
