Hi there, not long to go so just hang in there: Have sex if you can as it can kickstart labour, hubby thought I was mad but it worked, other things to try spicy food, keep walking, do stairs if you can but be very careful as your balance is impaired, pineapple juice, dates, raspberry leaf tea, maternity/ birthing ball is amazing, you can buy one from mothercare and lots of info on how to use it on youtube. All the best 😊

My baby turned one year beginning of this week. She was born at 38 weeks exactly weighing over 3.5kg, she arrived 4am and we were both very well, I was discharged after 6 hours. I was desperate to have the baby due to worsening SPD and tried all of the things I suggested. If you are happy to go all the way then by all means, but there is no harm in keeping active and trying safe ways not to go over, my first three were all over due and one day felt too long so for the fourth I was determined not to go over. Wishing you well 😊

Hi, Our midwife suggested sex as a good way to stimulate labour. We were 3 weeks late with second. Curry didn't work, nor driving across multiple speed bumps. To be honest I could never understand how you feel at the moment, but I would try and enjoy the peace and quiet while you can!

Sex is supposed to be a goody as it releases similar hormones. Other than that plenty of walking. When I was in hospital waiting to be induced I watched loads of women go just from bouncing on one of those big gym balls, that's what I'll be trying in 8 weeks time. I've also heard stories where people went into labour after watching Michael McIntyre live last year, so may be worth sticking s vid of your fave comedian on and having a good old giggle. Good luck xx

Hi Jodie,

Google Debra Betts acupressure for labour. There are a few pressure points that can help induce labour naturally. Have a look and see what you think as not sure it's everyone's cup of tea.

Hope you're not waiting too much longer!
