Any body took clindamycin and had safe or not safe outcome in their pregnancy?? I know its category b...but at least knowing moms out there took it with no problems on their baby it would ease my mind....please share...first time mom really worried.
Also did any one have that infection when a swab test was done?

According to the above, it has been used by many women in the second and third trimesters with no evidence of fetal abnormality or poor outcomes. It is used to treat abnormal flora - in other words abnormal bacteria- in the vagina, as the presence of abnormal flora has been linked to pre-term delivery and increased late-term miscarriage.
In other words, the risks of not having it are greater than the risks of having it.
Oh, and do take it properly. Last thing you want is to develop antibiotic-resistant vaginal bacteria.
I have just finished a course of fluocloxacillin 500mg for staph aureus found in my urine. If anything it eased my obstetric cholestasis so much that I felt well and normal and looked well.
I had to take it on an empty stomach which was a bit of a fuff.
Good luck. Rest and eat plenty of natural goats or sheeps yoghurt to boost your gut friendly bacteria.
I was advised years ago to put some fresh yoghurt into and around my vagina in order to normalize the flora and pH so that yeast gets under control. It did help and is very cheap to do.
