Hi,, LO born 12th Feb - I started getting CTS in left wrist at 32 weeks and it has got worse since birth - hand movement greatly reduced, pain from palm to elbow, reduced strength, unable to tie hair in ponytail with elastic band etc. GP has me booked in for cortisone injection Friday morning but I'm a little worried about effects on LO and my milk supply as have read conflicting reports. Has anyone been in a similar situation or can recommend someone I can check with? If it comes to it, I will go without, altho I'm in pain and hand, wrist and arm muscles aren't working as they should. Any advice gratefully appreciated.

You can call the 'drugs in breastmilk' helpline and speak to a pharmacist who can tell you about any drugs and if they are ok to take while breastfeeding. You can find the number on 'The Breastfeeding Network' website. Theres also drugs sheets on the BfN website. Really useful information.
Why not try acupuncture? It can be very successful in treating carpal tunnel x
