A great book to get: "A Stay at Home Dad: Leaving Oxford to spend my time with a one year old." This is a good resource for both Mum and Dad, even if neither of you is at home full time.
Also, "Barefoot Books" is great when the baby gets a bit older, you can find their videos and songs on Youtube.
Good luck! It's huge work, but awesome!
I highly recommend the NCT ante natal courses, as they are great foot learning about birth, pregnancy and parenting, but mostly because you meet a supportive group of parents in your area and often stay in touch and so have a great support network for the early days.
I highly recommend a pregnancy yoga class. Helps you relax and prepare for breathing during labour. Also aquanatal classes are great especially when the bump gets a bit bigger. The weightless feeling in the water is great and a good way to keep fit through out pregnancy.
Thank you all for your comments - very useful indeed!
Best wishes to all during the festive season and happy 2015!
