I'm in the middle of my 2nd trimester and I accidentally ate expired soup today - it was a chicken noodle soup from Sainsbury's, wondering what to do about it. I initially opened the soup 6 days ago, and today without thinking or even looking inside of it, I just put the remainder in the microwave and then ate it. So don't know if there was any mold. It was boiling after microwaving, if that helps, it also tasted good, so no weird taste.
Read lots online about harmful bacteria and was very careful with food up until now. Really anxious it could harm my baby.

Try not to worry, if you feel fine then I guess nothing happened. If you're still worried why not call your GP or midwife to ask what symptoms to watch out for?
If there was a problem you would know about it. You would have food poisoning and be poorly and that’s when baby could be at risk depending on what bacteria caused the food poisoning and how far along you were- it’s unlikely to cause issues without you being ill yourself x
As an update - nothing odd actually happened to me after I ate the expired soup, I didn't feel any different, so happy to report that all is good. Won't repeat my mistake again though cause anxiety was real! 🤪
