Any advice on which pram to buy? We've got a small house, with only little storage space.
It's Hard when ur limited on space! I've Bought the britax affinity and it's also got a carry cot so will be taking up space but think I'm also going to use it as a moses basket so baby can sleep in it during the day....the quinnyi thought was a small pram but u can buy these things to put in them to make them be able to use from birth..u need to speak to someone when viewing so then u don't need a carrycot. ..I brought mine from bambino direct and got a great deal but u def need to look before u buy good luck x
There's so many different brands out there now & it definetely difficult when you're short on space.
When i had my son nearly "5 yrs ago now" i got a ladybird stroller which also could be used as a moses basket. I think that was the best thing about it as the basket stayed indoors most of the time so i could only worry about the stroller part of it.
xx
We live in an upstairs flat. We're bought a mamas and papas pram, 3 in one so will become a buggy in time. doesn't seem to take up to much space but is a bit bigger than sum prams have seen x
It's such an exciting thing to buy, but there's so much choice it can be a bit overwhelming! We went to kiddicare a couple of weeks ago and they have an entire floor of prams to try (and some really good prices). Definitely worth getting a member of staff to help you!
We ended up buying a kiddicouture fizz. It seems to fold up quite small, and fitted in the boot of my Yaris quite easily. Another good space-saving feature is that it starts as a carrycot, then you convert that carrycot bit into a seat when they're older - so there's not a separate carrycot lying round your house. I'm not explaining it well - if you google kiddicouture fizz there's a video and you'll see how it converts. Really good price in the sale too!
Good luck, and happy hunting!
We have plenty of space in the house, our car boot caused all the issues! (Alfa Romeo into - tiny boot!!) Had to buy the buggy and car seat around the car!! Got the quinny zapp extra and maxi cos I car seat folds tiny very quickly and easily and lasts for 3 years!! Go to kiddicare to try them all out and the free advice then look online and other shops for the best deal! X
I also had to buy a tiny buggy because I have a fiat 500 which has the tiniest boot. So I bought the quinny Zapp Xtra. Baby not here yet so can't say how I'm getting on with it but having played with it a few times I'm happy with it x
We have brought the mothercare orb which is gorgeous has really good features and spins 360. The best bit about it is only needing to buy the car seat as the pram has the cot and then turns into the stroller but adjusting the straps. Have a look in store and push it, it's amazingly smooth and I can't wait to have it, less storage needed aswel x
Hi I bought the Sola (love it) and a garden wheely bin thingy (£60 in B&Q sale). We are in the same situation and had nowhere indoors to store it but this bin storage has been brilliant. I can fit the pram in without having to collapse it. The car seat and a number of other baby bits and bobs so it's been well worth it and I've had no dirty pram wheels in the house and I have somewhere to store my wheely bins in the future when the baby has outgrown his pram!!
Thanks for all your responses, I've got a few ideas now. The outdoor storage idea sounds very clever, will have a look into that. X
Bugaboo bee, folds down in one, only weighs 7.7kgs and we have a Citroen C3 which doesn't have a massive boot so it's ideal. It is suitable from birth but if you're having a winter baby I would recommend getting a bugaboo cocoon to go in it to keep the baby snugly. It is more expensive but the resale value is really good on all bugaboo products. I hope this helps.
