What happens on the second midwife appoitnment (i will be 16 weeks)

I have a appointment next week with the midwife for te second time, i was just wondering what will happen, what should i expect

I can't remember properly as they had cancelled my appointment so I got a watered down version of one. But I think it's the usual....urine check, blood pressure and then booking blood results bk (though I only got mine back on Tuesday this week!)

Depending on your midwife they might try to have a listen to babies heartbeat - don't worry if she doesn't, some prefer to wait a few more weeks.

That's the most exciting thing you can expect though (providing you're low risk, I wouldn't know otherwise) - just urine check, blood pressure and a discussion of any results from your booking appointment/ dating scan if necessary. And of course an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have.

Yep same for me: wee wee test & listening to the heartbeat. Found this massively reassuring ( and a bit emotional, as it turns out). I'm 18 weeks & still havent felt any movement but we could hear it on the doppler thrashing about so that was really lovely

Ah cant beleive you are 16 weeks already, it is going really fast now. They may listen in to your babies heart beat measure your tummy and take a urine sample. Thats it really. Dont think you will see her again until your 25 weeks but cant remember with the first if they wait that long between apppointments.
