Recently I have been vomiting bits of blood when suffering from morning sickness... (It's happened twice) i don't suffer from it a lot but normally sick about twice a week.. I'm nearly 17weeks pregnant.. Should I get in touch with my midwife/GP or am I worrying over nothing?

it could be just from where your wretching so much. i was sick for weeks. and started throwing up bowls of blood. ( i was in hospital when this happened).

The nurses werent concerned though. as i couldnt kep food down and was sick so many times in one day it was only something to be expected. xx

Little bits of blood (if 'just' flecks) is not unusual with protracted vomiting, and is usually from irritation of your oesophagus by stomach acid. However, if it's anymore than a tea spoon you should head to A&E as lots if vomiting puts you at risk of something called a Malory Weiss tear. If it doesn't settle, see your GP: it may be than a bit of omeprazole helps damped the irritation.

Are you drinking well/keeping fluid down?
