Today's powerwalk- 1st set of photos

β€’30 Replies

Hi all

It's been bright with cloudy periods today, there was a very brief hail shower. The wind has had an icy feel to it today.

Hubby and me did the housework first this morning then I did another woodland walk but whilst I was out I went to see a house that my friend's husband is building, he's been working on it for 12 months now. The house is being built the proper way, brick and block walls, not timber framed, so built to last. I was very impressed and glad I've seen it now.

I walked 10.67 miles. The top right photo shows how the Rapeseed is blooming.

I had my lunch and then planted some heathers in the garden when I got home. Hubby had been busy planting seeds.

Hope your days have been good.

Enjoy the rest of your day/evening.

Thank you KoKo, it was great to get out. Lots of calves around today. Oh his project did, he's so good at making planters and sheds for that as well, he's a good all rounder.πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’–πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’—πŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸ’—πŸ₯ΎπŸ₯ΎπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ xxxx

Love a man can handle his tools Alicia πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ€£, you got a keeper right der ❀️. Just had my fantastic lunch salmon salad πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹. I watched β€œwhat the Heath” from Netflix and they said salmon is just equally bad as a piece of porkchop πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… but then what else can I eat if I’m a pescatarianπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Enjoy the rest of your evening Alicia. β˜€οΈπŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒΊπŸŒˆβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈxxxx

Oh he's brilliant at DIY. Really, I would never have thought salmon was as bad but I have to say in this country, UK, most of it is farmed. I was a Pescatarian before I went Vegan. I missed salmon initially as I used to eat a lot if it but it doesn't bother me now. I'm a chickpea fiend now.🀣🀣🀣

Enjoy your day KoKoπŸ’œπŸ’–πŸ’œπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’— xxxx

This Netflix documentary show is biased I think. Here’s a kicker, they said eating one egg per day is equal to 5 cigarettes a day. What?!!!!! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ This show’s executive producers are celebrities and they promote plant based food which we all know ofc they are healthy. But these information is quite disturbing to think what else can I eat. Oh and our soils n water are toxic with Dioxin, so there goes the plants, dont they?! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I’m venting... 🀣🀣🀣🀣. Well for sure Vegan is the way to go. I’m changing from meat to non meat as pescatarian as first step and I’m sure I will be vegan in the end just like you. πŸ‘πŸ‘β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈxxxx

That's a load of tosh (rubbish). They are definitely biased as you have to take many things into consideration, even though I'm Vegan I'm not biased. I'd definitely vent watching a load of tosh like that🀨🀨.

It took me a while but eventually I changed to Vegan. It takes time.πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’—πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸŒΈπŸŒΊπŸŒΊ xxxx

in reply to

Yes Alicia, I do see all the benefits from being a Vegan and to me, it takes lots of courage n time to stay on that track. This show is definitely trying to cause controversy for popularity. There were no scientific evidences to back up their claims. I’m just gonna be moderate and aware of my food consumption without being paranoid about this. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… Love your recipes you shared with me I do save them for future reference. I do appreciate your insights of the Vegan life. β€οΈπŸ™β˜€οΈπŸŒ»πŸŒΊxxxx

in reply to

Yes you're right, it does take time, definitely not to be rushed.

That show is actually making it worse for Vegans, they are obviously that stupid they can't see it.

Glad you've saved the recipes xxxxπŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’žπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’œπŸŒΈπŸŒΈ

Hello crazyfitness

Might you be able to post some pictures of the house your friends husband is building? I would be very interested in seeing that. A lot of animal pictures for National Pet Day. :)

in reply to Big_Dee

Hi Big_Dee

I'd love to but as it's not my house and I don't have permission I won't, sorry about that. Oh there certainly were a lot of animal pictures and animals bring so much joy and are so good for your health.πŸŒˆπŸ™

Great photos of beautiful Devon as always Alicia. We had snow and really cold, but lovely now in the sun. Miss Molly having her lambs end of April. πŸ‘The lambs in the village will feel warmer today in the sun thankfulky β˜€

in reply to diana1998

Thank you Diana. It seems very out of season to have snow when it's nearly mid April but I do remember in 2018 after the 'Beast from the East' that we also had a very cold April that year and all of a sudden the heat just ramped up and we had an awesome Summer, I'm hoping for some of that this year. I'm glad the sun has appeared for you, makes you feel so much better and the sun does have some heat to it. Aww, bless Miss Molly, can't wait to see the photos. Oh yes, the lambs will feel much warmer with the sun out.

Thank you Jerry and it really is pretty, especially if the sun is shining as well. There was an icy wind though and it's cold again today. Can't believe you've had more snow, it really is bonkers, what is happening to our weather, it's nearly mid April for goodness sake! I definitely want a heatwave, I do not like the cold.

It was a lovely walk.

Hope you're having a good day.

Lovely as usual....both sets of photos. The rapeseed is beautiful, we were first introduced to this beautiful plant in Hungary and Czech Republic. As we would ride the train to various places we would see fields of this beautiful yellow plant. Don’t see that much in USA or I just haven’t been inright place. There are bluebells in Texas though and there is a place that grows fields of Daffodils but only seen pictures. Looks like you had a great walk. I’ve got to get out and do more walking and get rid of this β€œpandemic” weight I’ve gained. πŸ˜›Have a wonderful week. God bless.❀️🌈🌸🌺🌼🌻

in reply to Williemom

Thank you very much. I love Rapeseed, the colour is so vibrant. Isn't it great being on a train and seeing all those beautiful fields of Rapeseed and the rest of nature. A shame you don't see it in the USA that much but good that there are Bluebells in Texas, they are beautiful and I bet a field of Daffodils looks awesome as the colour is so vibrant.

It was a lovely walk thank you. A lot of people have gained weight during the Pandemic because the routine has gone out of the window i.e. not near as many people travelling to work and moving about as much.

Thank you and hope you have a lovely week.

LovelyπŸ˜€ It looks like mama sheep needs to be shearedπŸ˜ƒ Is that a dwarf horse, donkey, or mule.😢. I no you can't wait to grow, and harvest your garden. Have a wonderful day.

in reply to RLN-overcomer

Oh she certainly doesn't it's not quite warm enough at the moment. It's a miniature pony and I love it. We have a few things in the planters, it's so interesting watching it all grow.
