Well That 'Put Pay' to That then!

Dear All,

I felt 'sorry' for Next Doors 'Gardener'- well Tree Cutter. About 10:00, this morning, I heard a vehicle 'pull up', by the Maisonettes, across the way. A man in a Hard Hat, Gloves, Visor and 'Protective' clothing, was unloading Tree Cutting equipment. They have two large conifers, that are regularly 'trimmed', into a Round profile.

The man started a 'smallish' Chainsaw and began to work, slowly & steadily, around one tree. All went 'well', for Just about Fifteen Minutes..... then the Heavens opened. The Poor man just had to Pack 'everything' back up. About five minutes later I heard him Drive Away..... I Might 'see' him- this Afternoon, maybe!

A lot of jobs are governed by the weather . I work as a nursery nurse . The children are in a much better mood and are happier once they have had their mad half hour outside . The staff find it a very long day too when the children haven't been out . It takes about 10 mins to get coats on then another 15 when they come in . Coats off , hands washed so that whiles away a decent half hour.

Dear focused1,

I 'Helped Out' at a Nursery, many years ago, so I know 'Exactly What You Mean'- So much Easier, if you can get them Outside. You were Lucky to get them ALL 'Out and Back In' in half a hour, Well Done Indeed. We couldn't even get the 'milk, and a piece of fruit', finished in that time! (you probably had Lunch, the Floor and Story Time, finished by Two Thirty as well.)

All 'Good Fun'!!!

My group were trained to find their own coats . The problem was that several were navy blue .

It's such a shame when gardeners have electric tools to use, the weather slows things down so much. We have heavy rain here in Devon.

I guess that's the nature of outdoor work in our climate AndrewT. Turn up and hope for the best, but always stay flexible!
