i luv to dance; but don't get out much in quite a while...

fridays - usually "boys night" over at a friends house.... we start out w/ drinks; and then cook something yummy for dinner... some interesting convo's; and then we dig into a number of things - might be a documentary; might be researching something that interests us.... several of our "deep dives" on fri night - is what convinced us to become vegan!

on a more lazy night - we might just watch a movie; or binge some shows...

absolutely!! if he were 15yrs younger, and a woman... his wife might have competition... tho if that were case... not sure she'd be his wife.... so i guess his sexual preferences would also have to swap sides... ;o)

lol - that was in reply to your reply which said "you got ur pregame on with the drinking and then bromance";

it was in reference to my "fri night 'boys night' "....

Ooooo that makes sense now πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The Sunday just after the pandemic had been announced and everything was getting cancelled hand over fist myself and my sister in law had gone for Sunday lunch after we had rung the place to ask if it was cancelled or not seeing as everything else was and no it wasn't so we had gone and decided to have made that our last Sunday lunch out for a little while seeing the way things were going and things getting cancelled hand over fist as the Thursday prior to that I had become ever so upset over cancellations such as a trip to the saachi gallery that Saturday, turning up to Welsh class that Thursday evening and getting sent home at 7.30pm after only a couple of us turned up which was disappointing and I also got called nasty names online as well just because I had walked out of a job interview where they had been rude to start with and then had kept me waiting without explaining or apologising so I had walked out and gone home and I'm glad I did but that didn't merit being called nasty names over and I was also told I hadn't got a job I had interviewed for that Wednesday which is never very nice to be told but now I feel it was a blessing in disguise as I would have hated it there!

Back to the Sunday dinner well what we decided on was seeing as how things were going getting cancelled hand over fist the best way forward would be to lay off the booked Sunday lunches for a while in order to save ourselves the disappointment and heartbreak over them being cancelled as I feel its better to go without than think you are getting things and having the door slammed in your face at the last minute!

So the last Friday before a pandemic we would do what we had planned that evening but make it the last one for a while seeing the way things were going getting cancelled hand over fist.

As fun as that sounds GreatMindfulness, I think one of the reasons I'm getting through lockdown OK is that I'm doing right now what I've always done on Friday nights after reaching the age of 25 or so. I stay in! 🀣. Thanks for sending the Gipsy Kings our way. They always cheer me up. πŸ‘

in reply to

Staying in and relaxing sound wonderful for me also. You sure have great taste in music. Gipsy Kings is phenomenal πŸ˜πŸŒˆπŸŒΉπŸ™xxx

At what age would you have liked to 'stick' Mydexter. I always think around 30 would be good. Still young enough to enjoy some of life's adventures but old enough for others to take me seriously. I've quite enjoyed being old though. The lack of inhibitions, the experience of growing into 'grumpier old me' and best of all, the wisdom that age brings so that you can see right into the heart of almost everything that life sends! πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Yes I think we are pretty much the same age Mydexter. I agree that it's a great pity our bodies try to spoil old age with creaking bits, aches and pains and all that age brings. I guess that in life we can have it all, but just not all at the same time! 🀣

Street Tango is the root of the two styles of Ballroom Tango. It can be Legato (Slow and gentle) or Staccato the more aggressive kicking and flicking style. It is actually my favourite dance.
