Lovely

That's really lovely Brent.

Thank you for posting.

Lovely Brent_Wilson. I love that central area which conveys such chilliness!👍

Hi Callendersgal. I grew up in a barely heated post-war council house in West Yorkshire. The patterns in the central area remind me of the patterns frost used to make on my bedroom window on a mid-winter's morning. How did we survive?

Yes! Yes! Me too Brent_Wilson! 👍😊❄️

I would love the idea of my paintings hanging on other people's walls, Jerry, and have put a lot of thought into the idea of selling on Etsy, while a friend has also suggested that maybe I should arrange a small online showing. I also discussed the matter with my wife, who is in the midst of setting up an online venture of her own. We came to the (correct) conclusion that, while I am supremely happy painting, and discovering how paint reacts when I do different things with it, I really would not be content putting in the effort needed to develop a commercial online venture. I have too much going on with my health, and am trying also to keep my research ticking over. So, for the foreseeable future at least, my better paintings will be in a dust-gathering pile on top of the, while the worse ones become firelighters. Perhaps those who really want to have one (I show on Facebook as well) will find a way to contact me.

Have you thought of taking a look at Redbubble Brent_Wilson? It exists to help unknown artists make their work more commercially available online. One of our previous community members has done this already and has attracted interest there.

Here's the link if you'd like to take a look. : redbubble.com

Thank you. I have looked at Rebubble.com, Callendersgal. I shall try to work out where my paintings would fit.

I absolutely agree Jerry. We have in our midst a very talented artist and we should encourage him to take that leap of faith to bring his work to a wider audience. 👍😊

Can I ask what paper you are using for your paintings? It looks like a fairly textured one.

Hi Midori. I must apologise, but I really don't know which paper I used for this one, as it was given to me by an artist colleague. Normally I use Bockingford 140 lb cold pressed. I wish I knew what this one is, as I really do like the texture.

I use Bockingford as well, but that one has a really interesting look.
