Snow already, that's early, isn't it π π»
Absolutely beautiful I've just come from park was thinking be great to see it blessed with snow π
Itβs pretty. If I just didnβt have to drive in itπ’π’π’
AA got good road advice in snow and met office app Spinner! I have driven in snow and used to it and know the dangers! Wished I could afford winter tyres or all round tyres as I had on my last car! ππ
Every year people here get nuts with the first snow. They drive like maniacs and there are lots of accidents. You would think being Michiganders they would know better but it always happens!
Well here the traffic comes to a standstill Spinner, hahahaha, they aren't used to snow where I live in North Yorkshire UK βοΈπ π»πππππ»πππππWe have to be prepared for all kinds of weather learn and drive sensibly! But in other parts of the UK we do get snow drifts and if severe, yes people do get stuck either on the roads or in rural areas! π₯°
βοΈββοΈ Brrrrrrrrrrr - you can keep it! π
Well snow has been forecast yesterday βοΈβοΈβοΈππ ππ
I do miss the snowball fights we used to have when young and with my family βοΈπβοΈπβοΈππ
Yay is right! Itβll take the crazies on the road by surprise as usual. Fender bender heaven!
That's a goodly snowfall Spinner1916 and lets you know that winter's really here!
North Somerset, what about you?
Lovely place. None here either thank goodness but I think it's been forecast hasn't it?
Not far at all, we used to holiday in South/West Wales - didn't we discuss this before? I was telling you about Hebron?
No, it was on the Cardigan road from Hebron - we used to stay in a small-holding in Hebron and travel out from there every day.
I remember you saying that before. I've tried to find exactly where we used to stay but can't find a good enough map - the small-holding was called Ardwyn and it was a few miles from anywhere. We used to have to look out for a little sign with Hebron on it and the place was not far past that - years ago probably thirty plus years but lovely memories. Llys-y-fran reservoir was not that far away. x
No. Michigan USA
That is so cool! I've never seen/touched snow π It is on my bucket list though
It can be very beautiful especially around Christmas. I can remember coming out of Christmas Eve services at midnight to fond softly falling snow and everything white. Very atmospheric!
I only like snow nowadays when I am sitting in front of a fire watching it through a window! Bit different from my youth when I used to go on winter courses for rock climbing, skiing, and camping out!
Iβm pretty much the same when home. I work outside a lot and in chilly greenhouses so Iβm ready for warmth and hot chai when I get home!
Thermals is a the answer! Met a Gardener quite a few years back! She said I am as warm as a glowing coal, when I have my thermal underwear on! And yes it's a good investment and would consider that if I worked outside Spinner ππ₯°β€οΈβοΈππ€π
They do help and I start wearing them about now. I usually wear two or 3 layers when it starts getting nasty like this but it still takes a few days to get in the groove again. They make you feel like a stuffed teddy bear! Also have waterproof shoes. Still manage to take a few slips on the ice every yearπ€ͺπ€ͺπ€ͺπ€ͺ
Nice!
