Hi, Those words certainly hit a note with me and probably others too. We are all fed up but at least we are not alone as everyone else is in the same boat. Our members are a lovely mix of talent and help to keep us amused and interested. Do you regularly write poetry as a hobby or is it something that Lockdown has encouraged?
Now you have found this site I hope you will continue to post and we can get to know you better.
Cheers for now.
I like this poem very much Flipin9. And the line that stood out for me was: 'Life is hard, because life is hard'. It's true. It is! And it's really helpful to express that through a poem or a painting, or any way of your choosing. The good news is that even the hardest life isn't without its moments of lightness. And we should all treasure those moments. Really well expressed!

What really stood out for me during this pandemic, is that the human condition is sociable. Something, that, I see and hear, through the crazy actions of the young at this time. We have a virtual world for now and every ๐ and virtual hug is felt.I know the older world ๐ is angry at those who break the rules but can they really help it. With their lack of experience!!! Timely pun. Whilst we are rapped up in what is being missed. How can we help, the young and hot headed. Stay ๐ about the most tactile, sociable time if their lives being on hold. For it is as for all of us. Just on hold!!!

We've all discovered just how essential it is for most people Flipin9. I do agree that the elderly (and they have good reason), are very hard on rule-breakers, but when I try to imagine how I'd have felt were I currently young, I can't begin to know how frustrating this must all be for them. They are supposed to be getting on with life, with education, careers, love, marriage, babies, and it's all on hold. It's a perfect storm given that young people generally withstand covid19 better than the elderly. The young have never really understood the old, having never experienced age, but I do sometimes think that the old could try to understand the young better, having already experienced youth (and probably having enjoyed their own). There's not much we can offer the young as compensation except maybe to reassure them that nothing lasts for ever. Even mountain ranges change with time, so not to give up hope that things will get better, and just to hang on........ ๐
I am full of platitudes. Of which I understand. Not the young. Lol
