Took my walk

These are photos from a local community park. The red branches are our native red twig dogwood. We use it a lot in Christmas decorations. The children’s play area is called a Sprayscape. In the summer it’s a giant sprinkler for the kids to play in. I’m off now to start cleaning wood floors😝😝😝

Hi Gillyflower18

Those are lovely photos from your walk. I hope you managed to get some of those wooden floors cleaned to your satisfaction! :-)

Unfortunately I’m sitting on my bottom watching Escape to the Chateau! Oh well!

That sounds lovely - good to relax and enjoy a programme on TV. :-)

They are remodeling a chateau in France by themselves. Fascinating.

Wow, I think they are brave to do that!

Lovely photos. I like the sound of the dogwood. And the kids play area sounds great fun.

If you have them in your yard you prune back a third of the branches every year. The new growth is always redder. They are pretty tolerant of wet and shade. If you go in the summer this kids are having a great time playing in the water

Lovely, glad you got out. Faced with cleaning the floors or watching Escape to the Chateau, I know which one I'd have chosen! It's amazing what Dick and Angel have accomplished!🙂

I think they are the cutest couple and their talents complement each other. Angel has such creative decorating ideas doesn’t she and I can’t wait to see how Dick’s walled garden turns out.

They really are, and they do. So cheerful , funny and uplifting! Sounds as if you're watching it from the start. We've watched all the seasons, think they're on series 7 now.🙂

Yes there’s a delay here. I’ve been thinking of looking into Britbox because I might be able to get it there. Also I love Gardeners World.

Have you ever seen any of the Monty Don's series? He looks at gardens around the world, America Gardens, French, Japanese etc. Also Around the world in 80 gardens. Also Carol Klein, quite a few things but I can only remember Life in a Cottage Garden.

We also have a few make over series such as Garden Rescue and Love your Garden. Also lots more from Alan Titchmarsh.

Don't know if you'd be able to get any of these?

Have to point out, I sound like a keen gardener but this couldn't be farther from the truth! Even if my health issues didn't prevent me, I would still probably be rubbish or at least too lazy!

I am good at giving instructions to my OH though but unfortunately he's even worse than me ! I absolutely dread asking him to cut anything back as his method would be rather chain saw like! We use the excuse our garden is the way it us purposely as we wanted a wildlife garden! This is,in fact, true ,but at times even our birds look at us as if to say, come on now!!!

I do love watching the programmes and seeing others ' gardens and homes though.

🙂

Oh yes Niao I’ve seen a lot of Monty Dons shows and Carol Klein’s. Also Garden Rescue and Love Your Garden. Alan Titchmarsh is great. I pull the sows on my cellphone and then use Bluetooth to put them on my tv.
