I had a lovely walk this morning and bumped into someone I know who I haven't seen for a couple of years. It was a breath of fresh air talking with a different person as Iike everyone else I've not seen many people.
She owns an adult & children's shoe shop and was saying how social distancing will be very difficult and after people have tried on shoes they have to go back into storage before someone else can try them so if someone wants to try any shoes on they need to be pretty sure they want them!
Anyway I enjoyed catching up with her and loved walking with Teddi
I took this photo to show that there is light at the end of the tunnel πππ

I have had episodes myself where I have felt fed up and everyone gets times they feel like that and my friends said to me not to kick myself for having had episodes of feeling that way as times are hard for everyone at present.
It seems like itβs going to be very complicated moving forward. Must be very difficult for businesses. The pub opposite us never really closed. They have been doing take away, not that Iβve had it and also running It as a shop. They said the shop is going to continue once the pub is up and running.
Yes a few village pubs around here done that and kept chef in business doing take out Sunday lunches our one hadn't found a chef yet so had no business at all
How lovely Ali to bump into someone you hadn't seen in a long time, I really like it when something like that happens.
It certainly will be difficult having to put the shoes back, personally I can't see how someone can catch the virus after handling a shoe, I think weneed to start being a bit realistic now, just my personal opinion.
There's definitely light at the end of the tunnel and what a lovely photo to depict that. Also, so glad you had Teddi with you.
Lovely photograph. It's nice to bump into people you haven't seen for a long and catch up. Sounds like it's going to be a bit troublesome for the retailer's with shoes and clothing items. xx
Gosh yes Agoodenough, so many challenges ahead for so many businesses. What a pleasure to meet up with someone unexpectedly though! There is light at the end of your beautifully pictured tunnel and there will be at the end of ours too! π
Thank you for that uplifting message. I think we all need these reassuring words especially now as I certainly feel less safe now than I did 3 weeks ago. x
I know what you mean. I go out on my bike most mornings and love it. It isn't the same as walking, when you can pay attention to lovely things that catch your eye, but I feel great having done it. Enjoy another lovely day πππxx
Always nice to have the tunnel effect with the branches closing in above, and the diagonal lines from the lane edge and tree lines all pointing to the slightly lighter end to the lane all point to a brighter tomorrow...
A lovely pic and nice to have bumped into someone not literally I hope LOL. Yes on local news other day talking to a dress shop owner and they were saying once something tried on had to go back into stock room for few days and can't remember if said had to be steamed or something it's not going to be easy especially in shops that only have 1 or 2.of each item.
There was an article on look north or one show about pubs saying how hard it would be but one that is part of big chain put in hand sanitised at each table separated them out only taking card payments and orders by your phone!!!! Little independent pubs can't do that and our village pub had just been bought by a.new couple few weeks before lockdown so don't know if they'll be able to afford to open as won't have got any government help as new business and had to throw all stock out.
Itβs easy to get weighed down with all the depressing news but youβre right we need to remember to stay positive, things will get easier and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you π
