Present Problem... Solved👍

Dear All,

Bearing in mind that, my Mother, is now quite Old, lives in a 'Semi-Sheltered' Block of Flats, is always buying herself clothes (especially Tops & Shoes), doesn't need any 'gadgets' for her home- I got her a lovely 'Cottage Clock', for Mother's Day- just what DO I get her for Christmas? All I can say is 'Thank You Sir Cliff', for that new Album, of yours......😊🤗 Brilliant. I left his 'Through The Decades' DVD, at my Mother's too- I Took it Round, for her to Watch, and then- sort of- 'forgot'- to take it back.... you understand. (Easily Done, after all!)

The Both, of us, WILL go 'out' After Christmas (and hopefully Covid too) and Buy, each other, more Substantial Presents. (I need pants, and socks, for a start.....)

'Uncle' Google has already Delivered, to my Father & Step Mother and, since I can buy those 'odd' presents nearer the time, I think that's about it.

I certainly Don't need Cards, apart from a few 'Family' ones, I bought Loads, in the January Sales.... and Boy am I glad that I did! Beautiful 'Four Mix' packs, of Snow Scenes, Wrapping Paper- complete with Ties & Cards- along with Gold & Silver plastic 'Paper' and ALL for about a Fiver! (I'm Talking, Packs marked at £4, going for a Pound- or less!)

Christmas Dinner is 'Booked', via one of my Mothers Neighbours, he is a Retired Chef. I believe he is 'Charging', about £20, to £25 each- which I will pay. (I might, ensuring I wear a Mask, 'Shoot' over the Shop and buy another bottle of their Chardonnay- which is surprisingly good, especially for the price.) One of the local Café / Restaurants is Supplying the meal Boxing Day and I have a 'Chilli', in the freezer, for Christmas Eve. (I might even persuade, my Mother, to open another Bottle of that- Absolutely Dreadful- Champagne.... or NOT, as the case maybe!)

I 'Sound' Organised, don't I.... Sound! De-barring any 'Major' Muck Ups, I think, that we Should be alright.....🤞. If I don't get, the Chance, to say this elsewhere...

Merry Christmas, One And All..... HO, HO, HO🎅

HiWell done to you!! I'm finishing writing my cards today of which there are about a hundred!! I bought present bags with ribbons already thread through tiny holes to tie. I normally have everything done and posted by the 29th which I might just about manager!! I certainly want everything finished before my next operation!! So yes Merry Christmas 🎄🎆 knowing me I will be wishing Merry Christmas nearer the time as well.

Dear Oldham65,

It is FAR better, for 'People' to say "(S)He has wished me Merry Christmas, about a Million Times" than "The Miserable s_d didn't even say 'Merry Christmas'". Though I DID know someone who would reply "You already said that" to, seemingly anyone, who offered Christmas Cheer. NOT that Anyone called him a 'Miserable Bl--der' you understand. (or drew him as The Crinch......) This man, never Did 'get' the Joke, when I left him a bag of Humbugs!

It sounds as if you've got Christmas all sewn up AndrewT. It sounds like fun and you'll enjoy a great meal. Don't forget to stay as safe as you possibly can over the festive season.👍

Oh wow, talk about organised. I've not really thought much about food but the granddaughters and eldest daughters presents are sorted. Just a little extra something for hubby and that's it. We'll be seeing our youngest daughter, son in law and their gorgeous girls and our eldest daughter at Christmas.

Just about sorted.

Sounds like you'll have a good one.👍🌈🎁🌲

Merry Christmas to you too. Hope all goes well for your Christmas stay safe and well. The Cliff Richards new release sounds a perfect gift to me, but then again I'm a bit biased he's from my era and I was in his fan club, many years ago.

Of course I am still a fan and one of my close freinds still is, she still goes to his shows. He can still shake the hip a little :) :)

Well done on being so organised, this year I only have a couple of people to buy for, which I did on the Internet and a couple of months ago when I was in town, cards written and will be posted next week, sister has ordered the meat, I'm ordering puddings from our country market which re-opens next Friday, hopefully we're getting a Christmas cake from them as well 🎄🎅🌈🍰
