So many of you have kindly shared posts and pictures of your pets, which always brightens my day. So, I thought Iβd return the favor πΈ
This is Chloe Furiosa, my 5 year old Siamese mix. I am unsure of what she is mixed with, but the vet is convinced that sheβs either part moose or part Army tank due to the fact that she is 14lbs of pure muscle.
I went with the name Chloe because it just seemed to fit and she took to it immediately. Her middle name is Furiosa after Charlize Theronβs character in Mad Max Fury Road because she was a formidable little spitfire of a kitten. However, her middle name is more ironic than accurate nowadays. She is as sweet and peaceful as a cat gets. When I brought her siblings home and occasionally did cat-sitting for friends, Chloe was hissed at, spit at and swiped at. But she never retaliated. Instead, she just sat quietly (exactly like she is doing in the photo on the bottom right), looking at the aggressors calmly... kindly... thoughtfully.
So instead of calling her by her proper name, I have a myriad of nicknames for her:
Bubba, Moomoo, Booboo, Badunkachunk, Moopers, Mummy Methusala, Munkywunkers⦠etc., etc.
And now, the inevitable question: What is the most ridiculous nickname you have ever given a pet?
I ask this for purely selfish reasonsβ¦ Mainly for assurance that I am not the only lunatic who calls her cat such outlandishly absurd names πΉ

My daughter named our cat sausage lol so everytime I need to go out and call on him people look strangely at me standing in the street shouting sausage,,,π€£ yes she's done this in purpose lolπ€£πΈ
And maybe a 4 year old will be asking why are you calling a sausage and whereβs my sausage π and then the mother will say itβs a cat honey π€¦ββοΈ
It is good to laugh, a friend of mine is getting a puppy for christmas and keeps telling me her list of names. I told to think before she names her, I am waiting to see what she settles on.

Just look back maniacally at those people and shout, "What??! I just REALLY love sausage!" π
What's so funny? It's a perfectly innocent thing to shout in the middle of a street π

Boo Boo π₯° I love it!
I promise to post more pics of the others. There are so many photos to sift through though... It's funny, I have maybe 2 photos of myself from this entire year, but HUNDREDS of my fur babies π I guess that's as it should be
I've watched "Are You Being Served" since I was little (I now own the DVD set). At one point, one of the characters had their cat referred to as moggie and I am so disappointed that that term never took off in the US
Oh good, I'm not the only one! π
Our ginger tabby baby gets called kitten!
One day one of the girls had asked was the kitty's name kitten and her mother had said how no she is baby and had showed her the name tag saying Baby on it!
in reply to
It's so funny how they have their "official" name and then the name they actually get called! And I love how both her official name and her nicknames are both babies (baby human and baby cat) π
Hello beautiful adorable babies you have there hope you enjoyed last night re post on pixiepants lol have a nice day xx
in reply to
Aw thanks! The pixiepants were hilarious, but I'm still trying to piece things together... Like who were the other cats in the pants? And why does everyone give Bazzak such a hard time? π
π€£π great, gosh there are some witty comments and some βinβ jokes. The background is Bazzak accidentally typed pilking instead of picking so we nicknamed him the Pilker. Each of us through google searches have found things relating to either name around the world. It includes hairdressers, study centres, beer and it just escalates. It would be so dangerous as a chat show π
π² THAT'S why you guys always say pilking! I always thought it was a Karl Pilkington reference hahaha When I saw the pants, I thought they were in reference to Pilko Pants π
She's absolutely adorable CJasmin. That kitten pic of her top right is so amusing! I was glad that someone else has a string of nicknames for their cat! I have too and thought I was a bit odd, but now I know I'm not!π
in reply to
Yup, you are completely normal! π
Hi CJ, thanks for sharing your little darling Chloe , second photo looks like she's been on night out with Tom .π

πΉ She is a heartbreaker, that's for sure
Sooo precious!! And spoiled Iβm sure π€π
in reply to
You. Have. NO. Idea. πΉ She is the Queen of the house. But since she is such a gracious ruler, I don't feel like I'm spoiling her... It's more like I'm giving her all the wonderful things she deserves β€οΈ
in reply to
The Queen deserves it all. Chloe baby is humbly precious on her Throne. π¦β€οΈ
Absolutely fetching pics of your fabulous Munkeywunkers, CJasmin!!!! And so very clever You with your creative nicknames...all outstandingly noteworthy!!! Thanks for the happy lift to the day....She was quite worth the wait to see!!!!!
Aww, I love the name! And very original. I have never met a Burrhead. I bet she is a sweetheart β€οΈ It was so kind of you to give her a home
Aw I'm glad Butch found a new, loving home with your son. And he knows how to high five?! Amazing! π Chloe opens cupboards and says "No" when she doesn't like something, but I've never been able to get her to obey a command. She's sweet, but very independent πΉ
Thank you πΈ She is quite the magnificent floofball, yes
She's absolutely beautiful, my cat is called Lola but she has tiny white tipped paws so I call her Little Paws, my friend has a dog she calls Slightly Larger Paws π the cat i had before this one was called Misty and I called her Misty Moodle xx
I love all the nicknames! Have Little Paws and Slightly Larger Paws ever met? I know one is a cat and the other is a dog, but I wonder if they've ever had the opportunity to compare footsies π
π€£ glad you like the nicknames, no they haven't met Little Paws is a rescue and was very timid, she is better now she loves visitors and is very loving - sticks to me like glue πΊ xx
