Our hike in the high Sierra. We intended on bushwhacking to a little known location, four mile round trip. There is a geologic formation called post piles which we want to see.
However, the snow was calf deep, falling into our boots, so we went for a shorter two mile walk through the snow. Like a wonder land.
It was good enough, and the dog got tired which is always good. He kept chasing the snow falling from the trees and couldn’t figure it out.
In another month the lake will be frozen over and safe to walk on.

How beautiful. I’d forgotten how spectacular snow can be!
It looks amazing!! I don't mind snow, in fact I actually quite like it. It's when it turns to slush and ice I don't like it!! I'm very accident prone and so slush and ice are not a good combination for me 🤣😂
It never fails to amaze me how beautiful different parts of the world are. Walking with a dog will add to the pleasure so, carry on and enjoy your trip daveh121. It will lift your spirits.
I'm actually green with envy daveh121. That's so beautiful and I can almost feel the cold crips air and the crunch of snow underfoot! Wonderful! 😊👍
How beautiful is that, even the clouds, it's just stunning! Thanks for sharing it dave it's such a good shot. Good to hear you're all doing well including the dog. xx
