I've just had an email back from the Doctor that is carrying out this research and she's looking for more participants so please reply to this post if you would like to take part in the research.
Thank you.

This is in UK? I prob wouldn't be able to because I am from US. Was going to do one here but couldn't do it due to COVID.

I'm afraid it is, I've not long hardback from the doctor and she's confirmed it's the UK.
I hope you manage to get on to some research in the US

Thank you. It would be been cool to be in an trial for IBS. Too bad they couldn't do it somehow. Oh well.

It's such a shame you couldn't do it in the US as they've altered the way they're carrying out the research. They were going to meet the people taking part but changed that to Zoom consultations and by sending out 2 monitors to be worn during the 7 day trial. I really hope they reinstate the trial in the US.
Take careππ

I was going to participate at one of the big hispitals here. It was for a cbd-placebo study. As I said the covid thing stopped it. Told them I would do it the next time they do a study. Hopefully they'll get back to me.

That really is a shame, I do hope they get back to you in the future when this is over.
I'm really sorry to hear that. I was diagnosed in 1996 with IBS and had a lot of pain but I could manage it. From November 2018 it got worse after food poisoning and I was getting very loose stools and nausea every day. The Low Fodmap diet has been a life changer for me, I know it doesn't work for all but they say it works for around 75% of people.
Hi could I ask what a low food map is. I have diverticulitis, diagnosed four years ago on top of other health probs. Flare up at the weekend and now on antibiotics which has given me a runny tum. Iβm over 70 so this extra health upset has left me wondering what I can do to avoid another flare. I appreciate this maybe the wrong community Iβm in.
It's a diet for when you have IBS as there are certain foods which trigger the symptoms ie onions, garlic, leeks, beetroot, cauliflower to name but a few. If you follow a low fodmap diet you cut these foods out of your diet, some people can tolerate small amounts.
Unfortunately it's not a diet that will help Diverticulitis. I'm really sorry you have this condition.
Unfortunately I cant see that the IBS forum will be able to help in any way. Have you tried Facebook to see if there are any groups girls Diverticulitis sufferers? I'm on a few IBS groups on Facebook and they can be so helpful.
