Hi all

Hidden was interested in seeing some of my cake pictures (I mentioned that I'm making another wedding cake next year - I haven't made one since 2015 and that's when I made the one in the photo). The flowers are made out of sugar paste, apart from the thistle as they are part flower paste and part cotton thread. I'm just posting one at the moment and in the next couple of days or so when I'm next on the PC I'll download some to my phone and then create a collage (not sure how to do it on the PC).

Wow!! It's beautiful!! I remember my Mum doing our wedding cake 30 years ago!! It was 3 tiers, hexagonal, royal icing and trellis pattern. My Mum had been to cooking/ bakery/ catering school.I know my Mum would say how beautiful your cake is. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

Yes, we had a video done of our wedding, my son is sorting it so that we can watch it again 😉 especially as it's 30 years ago!! No phones, lots of cameras. It was a lovely day. All my love Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

Oh wow, that'll be so good watching that, I love looking back at videos. Sadly when I got married video cameras weren't around.

Thank you. Yes I did, they are made out of sugar paste and moulded onto wire.🌈🌈

Thank you Ali, yes they were. The bride was many friend's youngest daughter, I made all three of her girls' wedding cakes.

Thank you Jennymary, it certainly did, I dont like dry cakes so the bottom fruit cake tier was soaked in 75cl bottle of dark rum.

Unfortunately our hedge trimmers broke just after we started so well get back out there on Saturday.

Thank you Bobby, yes they were pleased. I'd made the bride's 2 sisters wedding cakes as well.

Thank you Jerry. Some flowers are easier than others. This was a fruit cake bottom, chocolate cake middle and vanilla sponge top.

You are welcome. We had to give up with the garden as our hedge cutters gave up the ghost so the kitchen won.😉
