I hope you are all having a good day so far and those of you in the UK aren't suffering too much with the amount of wind and rain we are getting, I hope none of you are coping with flooding.
My daughter a while ago sent me a link to IBS research so I joined and am pleased to say I've been accepted. I had a Zoom call with a Doctor yesterday who is a Clinical Research Fellow
at the Institute of Neurogastroenterology in Queen Marys University, London. I'm wearing a couple of devices and one is a wristband and the other is a chest monitor. I went through a questionnaire as a test whilst we were on the phone and I was surprised how many symptoms you can get with IBS. You would have thought that as I've had it since 1996 I would have known most of them.
The study lasts 7 days and then I'll send the equipment back in the post. It's taking part in research that eventually finds either a cure of treatment that works. I'd love to see the results and will ask the doctor if I'll be able to or when they'll be published.
I hope you all have a good day even though the weather is rubbish in the UK.

Thank you, I'm so pleased I am able to take part. Makes me wonder how much research is going on in the background for other conditions. People on here amaze me on how they cope with pain nd other issues every day.
Thank you Bobby, I was pleased when the doctor said I was an ideal candidate.πππ
Thank you Jerry and I agree as the only way they'll learn more about the condition is research.
Oh I'll definitely share the results, it'll be very interesting. Also I didnt know but you could feel light headed and many other issues, maybe it's been my IBS all the time with me.π€
Believe it or not the sun has come out here, blowing a gale but at least bright. If it's still wet where you are Jerry then possibly waders, full set of waterproofs and a brolly to help you flyπ.
It really is and if course I'll feedback. I really want to hear about the findings of the research.ππ
Hi Alicia
Well done to you as this will help so much. Where did you find out about this research! I have IBS D and IBS C.

Hi Lynne
Thank you. I'm sorry Lynne, I didn't realise you had IBS D and C. I'll contact the doctor that I'm under that's carrying out the research and see if they can take any more volunteers, I'm sure they'll be able to. It was published on the IBS Network site in their August update, I'll PM you the details.
Hugs xxxx ππππ
