Just had some sad news about a ex work mate who I worked with for over twenty years as died through this awful disease . He was a fit person but it counts for nothing if you catch it , so please keep safe and do the right things we are asked of .

That's awful news Beehole, and sharply reminds us that this is a real crisis and to save as many of us as we can, we must engage in and co-operate with, all who give us sensible advice on how to avoid becoming victims or spreading the disease. My deepest condolences on your sad loss.🙏

That's the thing is that no ones immune to these conditions and tomorrow is promised to no one no matter how supposedly fit and healthy you are.
I too heard of the passing of a former colleague from covid back in August. I worked closely with him for many years.- we were both teachers and we were in the same department.He was very generous with his time and sharing resources and we worked on many school plays together.He too was fit- he'd done the London Marathon a couple of times.I hadn't seen him since he left to teach abroad but I know he'd returned to England a while back.It was quite a shock to hear the news.
