This is our garden at 0830 yesterday. Sunrise was 0630.
From the smoke. It was dark all day.
It was heavy all day and might continue for awhile. Our eyes and throats are burning.
Other than that things are good. Another round of salsa canning tomorrow.
I’ll need a flashlight to be outside tomorrow.

It’s very dark and looks like late evening. The irritation on your eyes and throats must be awful. I hope you are not waiting to long for it all to clear and see the fresh air again. 😊🌈
The darkness certainly had all the animals confused.
The chickens stayed in their roosting boxes till about 0900! When they came out they just sat there trying to figure it all out. There were no birds to be seen or heard.
It was fully dark again by 1630. Normally it would be dark around 2000.
Well, it gives people something to talk about.

Yes we do. It has been running for several days now. The wind is due to change soon so the air should get better.
This looks so bad. Hope you staying indoors as often as need be and get a purifier
Oh goodness dave, that looks and sounds awful. Spinner's idea of an air purifier sounds good. If you get any problems with your chests, make sure you all seek advice. Stay safe. xx
Yes, we have a purifier running in the house which really helps.
We are not spending a lot of time outside.

My children live in Boulder, Colorado and were experiencing a heavy haze over small city and ash on porches carried from wildfires in mtns miles away until days ago 4" snowfall.

I would love to have snow or anything wet!
