Hi all
I know I shared a story about rogue Courgette (Zucchini) that can make you ill but another story popped up on my phone, it's a Daily Mail article.

That is worrying, they are already off my list, I sometimes react funny with some foods so knowing my luck, Thanks for sharing. πππΈ
It really is worrying. The best thing is to buy them from the supermarket, shame growing your own is risky.ππ
I think I've really gone off courgettes Alicia!π±
Same here Sue but they are saying the supermarket ones are fine though as they are genetically engineered although think I'd rather not eat them.ππ
Wow! don't think I'll be growing them again, then. Never had a problem with them, but not worth the hassle. Not really keen on them anyway.
If you're not keen it's better to leave them out of your diet.
I've never loved courgettes Alicia but I'm really put off now! π±
I haven't either Sue, don't think I'll be buying anymore. Fortunately I cannot eat Squash so that's out anyway which just leaves cucumber which I can do without.ππ
It really is Jerry, who would have thought there was such a thing.π€π
Thank you for this informative article. I eat mainly yellow, orange, and green squashes, stir fried with other vegetables. Good to know. It's good to know you can tell the tainted toxic squash by the bitter taste.
You are welcome. I love sturdy fried vegetables. If I taste a bitter one I'll be spitting it out though to be honest I don't think I'll buy Courgettes anymore, I can't eat squash as it's high fodmap (IBS diet).
