I really trying not to collage you all too death but I thought you might like to see some of my favorite places in Michigan. This is the Sleeping Bear Dunes park. A girlfriend and I visited before covid last year. No pictures of the dunes they are just huge piles of sand and I like the beach better๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh no, please let's have more! One of the loveliest things about this forum is to see and learn about new areas and for me, really fascinating when it's in a country that's not my own. So do 'collage' us all some more! ๐Ÿ™

Beautiful... More please!

Itโ€™s beautiful. Many years ago ( mid 80s) I had a student placed with me who was Michigan. He described it and it sounded picturesque โ€”- it looks stunning.

It is a very beautiful state once you get away from the cities. Our cities are nowhere near as interesting as yours! The small towns can be very picturesque however! The countryside is very varied from acres of flat farmland right up to kw mountains in the upper peninsula. Shorelines are quite varied too.

Wow, so many of us from Michigan. I live in Grand Rapids Mi. Well actually Cascade , which is a suburb of Grand Rapids. Spinner 1916, Grand Rapids downtown area has been under a revitalization for some years now. We are very proud of it...a lot of cultural areas and fun restaurants and shops. Our favorite area to visit on a regular basis would be the Sleeping Bear area/ Glen Arbor and over to Traverse City, then up to Petosky. Our shorter favorite trips take us to Saugatuck/Douglas and then south to South Haven. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.

Iโ€™m just getting around to replying because I had to work today. Our family always vacationed in the Traverse, Petosky, Charlevoix area . I still go up there. Itโ€™s beautiful.

Iโ€™m sorry Iโ€™m so late replying. I had to work today. Lake Michigan is very inviting. Not too cold with a sandy bottom.

I have heard good things about that park. But, where are the sleeping bears?

๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†I believe if I remember right the shape of the dune looked like a sleeping bear or at least thatโ€™s the legend
