I did not take many photographs on my walk today - so here is a bovine portrait from yesterday.

If you shamble along like an OAP (COZUR1) you can get close to animals without disturbing them (a zoom helps, of course).

Can you see the flies on your screen?

I disturbs me to see flies on the faces of animals....I just hate flies!!! These poor animals have no way of dealing with it. I love to see the face masks on some of the horses that people care for.

It seems that the flies do not bother this calf.

Horses stand noes to tail, so they can keep flies away from each other’s faces.

Perhaps I should have taken them out with Photoshop.

Some (wild) animals are accustomed to having symbiotic ox-peckers digging parasites out of their backs!

I'll save the post. I've been buying supplies so will be ready to start practicing painting on paper and canvas soon, so this is one I might try.πŸ‘

Hello S11m , I can see black specks on the screen guessed they were flies. I was going to ask how you got such a close up but you answered in your post. Brilliant close up.
