I cycled just over 26 miles today and met my sister in law for a coffee in our city centre. The ride in this morning was very pleasant but coming back this afternoon was quite hard and I'm still cream crackered (those of you in the UK will know what I mean). I also had shopping in my rucksack, I must be absolutely mad, well I knew that anywayπ
Hope you've all had a good day.
Have a lovely evening.

In this heat, yes - take good care! Is that the same horse top left? At least it's got a summer blanket to keep the sun off but I can't make out if the others have. Thanks for the photos cf. xx
As they say, mad dogs and English men. I also went for a walk with the dogs but had to cut it short as the dogs where getting far too hot. I sprinkled them with cold water and I really couldn't cope with the heat myself. You must have been ever so tired cycling back. The photo's are lovely though and it must have been nice meeting up with your sister-in-law. π·πΌπ
Oh yes, I'm the mad English womanπ. Aww bless them, it's so hot for animals, our cat is just lazing around. I bet they loved the cold water, think you should have hosed yourself down.
I wasn't tired per se but felt exhausted which is do unlike me.
Thank you and ot was liveky seeing my sister in law.π΄ββοΈππππππ³πΊ

I'm glad your pain eased but so so sorry it came back again.
I really hope it's not been as severe today.
Take care

I've got to keep going, love it. It was lovely this morning as we had cloud cover and there was a little breeze but this afternoon it ramped up, I did struggle going uphill and am now relaxing after a cool shower. Thank you and I did decide not to join my daughter in the gym.π
Well that's a very good distance, I used to cycle to work and back and it was around that distance.
Funnily enough I feel safer in the gym now as everyone is sanitising the equipment they've just used whereas when I went to a gym before a lot didn't even bother to towel it down.
Wow, you did a very good distance, I was drained as well.
Is that fog I see there, top left? π

Plenty of heat haze, bloody hotππ

Don't know how you do it you must be so fit! Ive lived in the city now for many years but was brought up in a little village on Dartmoor opted for the smog rather tha the fogπ
Yes, quite mad Alicia, but I know how you love it. But please do take care to stay hydrated and not to over-do. We don't have much experience in this kind of heat in UK, and it really can be a killer, so please be very careful out there. Your pics are lovely as always. I love the misty quality of the first one with the tree foliage and animals sheltering from the heat. ππ

Yes I know I'm mad but do love my bike. Today I opted for the gym which was much cooler. Thank you also for your kind words Sue. We certainly aren't used to this heat in the UK, much cooler tomorrow but very muggy. We've had heavy rain this evening.
Thank you, it does look misty but that was heat haze, shows how hot it was. The horse wouldn't come to me as I think it thought better of it and to stay in the shade.
