I watched this on Iplayer last night. Never seen it before and I loved it. It’s the story of Disney’s making of Mary Poppins. Didn’t think it would be my thing but I really enjoyed it.

I'm about half way through it, really enjoying it and I'll watch the rest in the next couple of days
I really loved it. I wish there were more good films on. Yes, it was so sad 😭 I think I’ll watch it again in a few months.
Dear Ali,
Yes isn't it a Wonderful film and 'Not At All', what you expect.... not one bit!
It left me, with a similar feeling, to 'It's A Wonderful Life'.

I thought like you. I didn't think it would be my kind of film with either but I loved it. It is a wonderful film. x
Any tips for how to stop a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down repeatedly playing in my head 3 days after watching the film lol 😂
That's EASY..... just think about, how BAD Dick Van Dyke's 'Cockney Accent' was.... then you will be 'singing' Chim-Chiminy, or A Lovely 'Oldiday With Mary! Come on you, Absolutely LOVED every single second..... Didn't you?
There is a newer film Mary Poppins Returns (or something like that), I think Zoe Wannabe is in the lead..... NOT bad actually, YES worth A Look. (Even MORE Songs to 'Rattle Round' your head.)
Another film that you can 'check out', if you enjoy the Real Life/ Cartoon mix is 'Bed Knobs And Broomsticks'- Angela Lansbury, I think.
Another one, for you, 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', with Bob Hoskins. Ok the 'story line' isn't brilliant but, there ARE some Very Funny Moments. (Seven, out of Ten... worth a look.)
Enjoy them ALL.

Watch Teletubbies. 😂x
Oh no. I remember that too well! Also my son loved Rosie and Jim. Think I spent 4 years singing that one lol. My dad used to tease my son and say they were dozy and Dim lol
A LOT, of this type of Programme, were Ann Wood's 'Rag Doll' Productions. I believe that the 'canal boat' Rosie & Jim travel on IS The Rag Doll- I wonder if Ann Wood owns it? (Not too far fetched..... Pooh Bear, Eeyore, Rabbit et al Were actually Christopher Robin Milne's toys.)
Bring back HR Puffandstuff (I Think that IS the right spelling.... anyone?)

One of my favourite 'feel-good' movies Ali. I'm glad you enjoyed it too!
I LOVE that movie! Of course, I like Tom Hanks,Mary Poppins, and Walt Disney .
I've just watched the trailer Ali and this is definitely my kind of film, especially with Tom Hanks in it as he's an excellent actor.
I top was most pleasantly surprised. The couture in it was fabulous too and of course the acting was superb!
Lovely film.
