It took me about 10 months to become half decent at drawing.
I could always draw ok but hadnt done it for over a decade, i decided to give it another go in 2014. I watched a lot of videos on youtube of people drawing to give me an idea of where to start and what to do. I bought some cheap pencils and paper and went for it.
Its a very enjoyable thing to do as you are creating and learning as you go along, i would recommend giving it a go if you think you have an interest.

I need to do it more often though, i am out of practice.
Thank you.
Its a great distraction, it helps with anxiety and lots of other issues.
I was always good at art since a very young age but it took a back seat to sports etc most of my life. Im now swaying back towards more art, i have arthritis in a few places. Ill have something to focus on if someday im stuck in a chair and cant walk.
I am not artistic but I do have a sort of yearning, but I know that Iβd not accomplish and I donβt think I can devote enough time to make a difference
That looks fantastic and what you learned in a year to improve is so amazing. As you know, I'm just starting out but it's a wonderful thing to get involved in. I think everyone should give it a go. xx
Drawing looks excellent. You can defiantly see your progression especially the eyes and shading. I do a bit of sketching for paintings but nothing as detailed as yours. Look forward to seeing more.
Wow thats certainly progress great work I like drawing but I prefer crafting so I got myself a white pad and some graded pencils( pound shop Btw) and have started to doodle in the evening, mostly things lying around I can see, forgot how therapeutic it is but my wrist suffers after I would be keen to see your future drawings keep it up x
Really I prefer my embroidery -Ive succesfully completed about 13 for my own enjoyment - not for a business i love watching the great british sewing bee & do my sewing while thats on
Id like to think so Ive completed about 13. 6 are at home -some are pictures -1 is a well flattened cushion one is a small cover that you put on the back of the couch A friend suggested i make a business out of it -but i dont want to because 1 you need money to start one up & 2 doing it as a business means deadlines & I dont want to meet deadlines - just want to take my time over them -for my own enjoyment
