I rode my bike into the city centre, the long way round, to catch up with a friend in a cafe which was lovely.
I cycled back home the long way round again but couldn't take any photos as it was starting to rain. Fortunately I only had a few drops on me which was a blessing. I cycled 25.4 miles.
Hope you've all had a good day.

I'm looking forward to when the cafes open here in Wales for sitting in and its not too long now to wait!

Oh it's really worth the wait, it was great to go inside particularly as the weather wasn't the best here in Devon today.
I am glad you have had a good day, It's god you got home before the rain really started. My granddaughter is 5 on Saturday and I have bought her a cycle, it is lovely. I can't wait till Saturday. ππ²π²πΈ
It was lovely Bobby. Oh that's great your granddaughter's 5th birthday is on Saturday as you'll be able to see her unlike when were in lockdown. Ooh she'll love her bike, what a fab present.π²
That's amazing, imso pleased to hear that.ππ
Well they seem to be doing well with the vaccine but I totally agree with you, better safe than sorry. If we all continue to wear masks for the next few months it should help alot, it should protect us a lot more.
Yes same here. It's not easy wearing a mask with glasses but hey ho, that's much better than risking the virus.ππ
Wow, well done to you, thatβs a really big ride, l think l need to call myself crazy-unfitness as the minds very keen on the idea of exercise but my body just doesnβt translate into any actual physical action, but youβre posts are very inspiring to me, in a sort, maybe one day kind of fashion! Holly
Thank you Holly. Believe you me if there's an exercise I don't like I don't really want to do it ie. an exercise bike, don't like them.
The answer is it has to be enjoyable.π΄ββοΈππ
Thank you Jerry, it was a good day and the rain we had was only light. It's been a busy day as I had lunch when I got home, did the grocery shopping and on the way home picked up a click and collect order and then went to another shop and bought more compost for the other planters. It was a good day.
Yes, youβre right, l do enjoy exercise, but only if someone else is doing it. But....l do spend all day running around after my three yr old granddaughter, and breaking into a sweat, so when she wants me to chase her round the park it must SURELY count as a sprint, well lm exhausted so l hope it does π€π€π€
Oh I love it Haha. Yes grandchildren keep you going, my granddaughters love me running around with them, they are now 4 and 8, love them to bits. Aren't grandchildren with their weight in gold.π»ππ
Thank you Sheila. I've not been out today as I was baking this morning for hubby and pottering around in the garden earlier this afternoon. I'll be out walking tomorrow though as I cannot stand missing out on exercise. xx
You make me feel tired just reading about your bike rides, hubby and myself both have bikes and fully intend using them one day,the car drivers around here seem so fast and we are very wary of going on the roads, keep safe.
I can totally understand as it's a car's world isn't it, car does seem to be king. I'm pleased to say that where I am in Devon I'm seeing a lot more bikes which is good. Fortunately we do have some pavements that are joint cycle/walkways and I always use them. I keep off the road as much as I can.
Wow - brilliant -Im so jealous- I used to be able to go out for bike rides for about 2 hours. Now I cant because I have ILD (Iinterstitial lung disease) so I only have minimal breathing capability -permanently so when the weather gets better Im going to try going just down the road & back -thats about all I can manage & even thats tiring
Thanks Alicia -Ive no idea how I got this disease. I wouldnt mind if I smoked because that wouldve been a consequence but I dont smoke -theres no family history 0
On speaking to my initial doctor who diagnosed it not only was I shocked I mentioned to her that in the 90s & very early noughties & middle noughties I lived with respective partners & now & again I smoked so I asked her if this was bubbling under for many years & now come up & she said she didnt think so but Im convinced of it
It's very hard when there's no rhyme or reason why we get some conditions, it would be easier to cope with I feel if there was an underlying reason.
I'm actually with you on that one and doctors of course don't know everything, they are General Practitioners and of course don't specialise in certain conditions. It must be a hard job being a doctor, particularly as they have to keep up with so many changes in medicine. You wouldn't mind so much if you'd smoked a lot but every now and again, this does seem very cruel to me.
What I meant by the smoking was Im convinced that smoking very now & again back in the day caused this ILD & told the doctor this but she didnt think so although I thought so -that it was
I was saying that if i was a regular smoker then ILD would be a consequence but because theres no history in the family -is why I dont understand why ive got this disease
I agree with you, smoking to any degree is very bad. My hubby is an ex smoker, he gave up nearly 33 years ago but had smoked for around 16 years and is asthmatic.
I would say the same, you weren't a regular smoker so why but sometimes things happen and we don't know why. I honestly do feel for you and wish I had an answer.
Take care xx
