My bike ride today in California. They say Golden Rolling Hills of California. Pretty for sure but in reality they are just dried grasses. More poetic to say Golden Hills.
So today was a ride, then pesto making, pickled beet canning, and zucchini muffin making. The garden is starting to boom now. Anyone need zucchini?
Along with processing two nice salmon for the freezer, just off the boat. Cutting up, vacuum sealing, boiling the leftovers for the good bits for us and the dogs, then into the compost with the bones for the garden.
My wife wants to make a salmon pie with the scraps for dinner tomorrow tonight. Might be fun to try.

Oh, when I looked it up it said marrow π maybe I should of gone down to the next site. It just shows, you can't believe all you read. Thanks for putting me straight at least I know what it is now. ππ
I was thinking, nice marrow muffin, with some sugar icing, nice cup of tea. ππ
Certainly very golden and pretty daveh121. Seeing that road stretching out ahead makes it look really inviting for a ride or a walk. Send all the zucchini you like this way! Do you have a good recipe for zucchini muffins? I had one once, but with all the moving about I've done in life, it's vanished.
You sound very busy with all your harvesting and preserving. Yes, go with the salmon pie. It'll be not only fun to try, but most likely delicious too! πππ
How did you find the time for a bike ride daveh121? You have a lot on your plate, so as to speak. A busy time.
Lovely photo, you live in a nice part of the world. How are you all in your family? Is Covid19 in your area? We are just starting to come out of lockdown here in the UK.
Looks like a pretty area dave. You've been very busy in the kitchen too - glad there were some bits for the dogs. Thanks for sharing your photo. x
Well you certainly had a very busy day and the photo is glorious, dried grass it may be but what lovely weather and those trees against the lovely blue sky, beautiful.
