I have been repeating the same mistakes in life for so long now, I may as well call them traditions!!๐

Lol, I never thought about the seagulls, honestly, I wouldnโt eat fish and chips outside now. ๐
Years ago took my mum and dad to Scarborough and favourite chippy, sat dad outside in his wheelchair went and got his fish and chips. Came out put them on his lap and before he'd even picked up a chip a seagull flew over and plop yes you've got it all over. I said it's extra chunky tartare sauce!!!!
Argh ๐คข๐คฎ๐ฅด thanks for sharing. ๐คฃ๐๐คฃ
Is that Tippi Hedren? ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฑโโ๏ธ๐ฆ๐ฆ

Definitely St Ives in Cornwall. They will eat anything and are very adept food thieves. Local told me to eat pasties or ice cream with your back to the wall so they canโt attack from behind!
Stop making me laugh so loudly! It's very unseemly. (Now there's a good word.)
I remember quite a few years ago I was on a visit to a seal sanctuary in Cornwall. The staff were feeding the seals in one pool with large fish. At one point, a seal was just about to take a fish from the staff member who was dangling it over the pool, when a huge seagull snatched it away and then landed a few feet away at the side of the pool. The seagull swallowed the large fish down in a very impressive move but when it went to take off, it couldn't get off the ground!!! The seagull waddled off to a quiet corner where I presume it had to digest the fish and rest a bit before it could take to the skies! ๐๐ธ
You just posted the word you daft wotsit!!๐๐๐๐ธ
Doh delete time !!!!!
I tell you I shouldn't be let loose, stupid isn't the word ๐๐ซxx

BTW, I used to have a badge that said, 'I have learnt so much from my mistakes, I think I'll make a few more....'
๐๐ธ
Never a truer statement, I love it xโฅ๏ธx
Re mistakes I will tell you about my mums funeral/ ashes at some time. Not now a bit too long but mistakes don't come into it!!! ( sorry mum)
My grandmother scattered my grandfather's ashes on a windy day....it didn't quite go to plan and she got a faceful. Definitely a good idea to check the wind direction first ๐ฏ๐
Never heard that one before. I love it and will definitely use it. Thanks.
I'm expecting Alfred Hitchcock to come on scene. ๐๐
Thatโs good! Thanks.
This made me smile, funnily enough a memory came up on my Facebook feed yesterday about losing my chips to the seagulls at Broadstairs some years ago ๐
Maybe try counseling?
Love it. Making me feel better about not going to the coast. ๐๐
There definitely needs to be a nationwide cull. Went to Scarborough last year and they were a nightmare. Zooming and screaming everywhere. Nesting all over the Grand Hotel, so there will be be thousands more this year. Ravaging rubbish bags, not the mention the excrement. They are a health hazard and dangerous, particularly to young children, but actually to everyone, as the photo shows. But, like everything else that needs sorting - nothing will be done, and the situation will only get worse. This country is a disgrace . End of rant - for now at least.
That's hilarious Bazzak, especially for anyone who has ever fallen foul of a seagull. And I guess many of us have at one time or another. ๐คฃ
Fake news about the poor gulls! The gulls in Britain are struggling, official from the RSPB, and they need protecting. It's the food outlets that's the problem, for the gulls and the overweight people who involuntarily feed them.
That is utter rubbish. Maybe some of the rarer species of gulls are endangered but the everyday seaside seagull - no way! More sense in protecting some of the garden birds we are losing! We had this problem a few years ago with pigeons in towns, I think some action was taken as I don't think they are quite as bad now. Just out of interest, iss thre a ban on feeding pigeons at Trafalgar Square, I know they were a nuisance there a few years ago.
Oh that did make me chuckle!
Seen that before it's good isn't it? Even the seagulls been missing out.

That's brilliant. ๐๐x

This may be telling too much about family history. My grandfather was a fisherman with a bit of a drinking problem. One time he threw his false teeth at the gulls when they went for his fish. Many other stories too but I won't tel all. Anyway he always said he was going to come back as a seagull and we would know him by the plastic that holds the beer cans together. It would be around his neck. We often look to the sky to see if he is out there. All of the Grand-kids loved him as he was a funny guy. My Grandma found him funny; not so much.
Thatโs so funny. Thanks for the laugh. I live in Australia and itโs not as bad here but I did notice birds in areas looking perplexed at the lack of humans.๐
