Need more T--3

I need just about 5 mcg T-3. I'm B,S.'ing my Endo, plue he doesn't seem to care & usually just give me what I want but I like to "make my case," as it goes much easier. I need a lower T3 amount. I take 100 mcg T4 & 20 T3 but want 25 T3, which I've been taking for 3 months anyway. If I skip the T3 at night will it lower it a bit? Anybody got any idea?

Hi GKeith, I think you might have to explain all the terms you've used in order for someone to be able to offer any help. I know it all makes perfect sense to you, but unfortunately not so much for us, as we have no context to work with. Could you maybe repost, so we can understand better how we can help you?

I believe I'd do better on about 5 mcg of Liothyronine aka T3. I need a lower T3 amount to show I should have a little bit more T3, or Liothyronine. I take 100 mcg T4, Levothyroxine, & 20 Liothyronine, T3, but I want 25mcg of Lio, T3, which I've been taking for 3 months anyway. If I skip the Lio, T3, at night do you think it will lower the reading of the Lio, T3, a bit? Because I have to make a case for another 5 mcg of T3. This is what happens when the endo doesn't fully understand that I was never treated properly for hypothyroidism to begin with, when 30 years ago they told me I had hypothyroidism but would only need to take a pill the rest of my life. No trials, no adding or subtracting doses they simply diagnosed me for 88 mcg of T4 and, although I took it and it immediately lowered my weight 30 pounds, which I had suddenly gained from out of nowhere, I had ice cold hands & feet and recurring headaches for the first 28 years until I went on a T4-T3 combination for the past couple of years.

Thanks so much GKeith, That makes things much clearer! Hope it wasn't too much of a nuisance to have to post again. It's well outside of my realm of knowledge anyway, but there may be members who will be able to help you. 👍
