GP called me yesterday, not had chance to get back to you guys as I came off furlough yesterday. MCV came back and was up by 1 (B12 injection in 4 weeks) white blood cells was 11 and should be 12 T level normal at 23.7 but the B12 results not back yet as I had a blood test on the same day as the injection, GP is going to contact hematologist and neurologist and get advice from them as when she looked it all up she wasn't happy with it, still not happy with the pins and needles and she is aware that it is causing issues with simple things like opening a jar of coffee and turning the tap on and off and its frustrating
anyway, I need a coffee and advice or suggestions would be great and thank you and continue to stay safe

Hi mascotty02, Given that your own GP needs the guidance of two specialists, there’s probably not such a lot of advice that laypeople can give you. I guess it really boils down to waiting for another phone call. But it’s good that things are now moving forward, even if slowly.
I don’t know what timeframe you are talking about in terms of waiting but I’d say try to avoid doing difficult tasks whenever you can or even buying a special aid or two to help you with anything you must do for yourself. Special aids for things like tap turning are available.
Otherwise I’d say just have that coffee and try not to get too frustrated with it all. Wishing you all the best 🙏
Hi mascotty02 , I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering with pains and needles and that the doctor's not happy with your results etc. I would wait to hear from the specialists.
I agree with Hidden that we are not experts on here. We are here for support and to listen.
Hi! Did you try more salt in your diet as that’s what my Dr said I lacked when I had pins and needles and cramp. She told me to eat a packet of crisps a day. Yours probably isn’t relevant but it might be worth a try.
Hi Mavary, thanks for your response, I really have to be careful with salt if I have to much I get cramp and if I don't have enough I still get cramp I have tried both but its cramp in places where you wouldn't dream of getting cramp it all started soon after I had chemotherapy I would turn sideways and get it on my side near the ribs and if I sit up or sit up I get it in the stomach, legs arms and a few times with my neck, its really strange
Wish I could help more. I can sympathise with you. I’ve had cramp in my legs while I’m bed and cramp in my feet. I’ve also had my arms and fingers lock. So not a pleasant experience.
