Have been out for the first time other than to take a walk! Went to the local hospital to get hearing aid batteries for myself and the 93 year old downstairs.
I usually get a weekly food delivery with my delivery pass and my daughter tops it up so haven’t been in a shop since 18/3! Took me a bit of psyching up but managed it.
Next step, a friend wants us to meet up and get a takeaway coffee. Not too sure about the coffee.

Oh yes, I know what you mean. Yes nothing out of a flask taste quite the same. xx
I can appreciate your concern about meeting up for coffee... right now where I am there's a safety factor as folks aren't practicing social distancing.
Yay Hylda, the first trip out does feel rather strange, you could always take your own drink to meet your friend ❤️

First time I had seen someone wearing a mask! She moved it up to talk to the hospital receptionist then fiddled with it. I do hope her hands were clean!

Exactly, it defeats the object, personally, apart when I had my MRI scan a month ago in which they gave me a mask I haven’t been anywhere with more than 3 people. I’ve had one made though in case I do. I think I will just keep under the radar apart from seeing my daughter and sister for a while. I’m waiting to see what happens after a lot of people disregarded the rules last week.
Well done Di, you must feel quite exhilarated after that. It's quite an event, isn't it? Our self confidence has really taken a bad knock and it is very strange losing all our self confidence.
On to the next thing now, whether that's with coffee or without! 😊

I explained to the receptionist it was my first time talking to someone I didn’t already know and she welcomed me to this “ Brave New World”!
Hi Hylda, why don't you both take a flask of whatever you'd like and just find a bench to sit on. You could have a picnic if you wanted! It's not a bad idea to take your cup if you do decide to buy a drink. Have a lovely time whatever you decide and well done for getting out and about again.
