So into June now, hope you are all keeping well in this strange time. What have you all been doing?

Pleased to say my daughter recovered from Covid-19 with only mild symptoms and is now back on the ward but only in green areas so her risk is reduced..

I have had a few setbacks over the last month which made me reach out to my GP last week. The anxiety was high and I was getting angry and snippy at silly things. The doctor was not surprised and has upped my meds for the time being, He informed me that he is getting a lot of new calls for anxiety issues!

With the ever changing government advice the visitors are flocking to the coast and leaving all the rubbish on the beaches so you can tell normality is slowly coming back.

Further to my last post the garden is coming on well and the flowers are a cheery sight. I have planted some sunflower seeds which are nearly ready to transplant so that the colour will continue well into September.

Lets see what happens in the next few weeks, until then stay safe everyone.

Glad to hear your daughter is on the mend. I think covid 19 has been around a lot longer than when it was christened officially in December myself.

In myself I am fine thanks for asking and I have had some episodes myself where I have felt angry and snippy over silly and trivial things and I think its normal to feel like that when you look at what's been going on lately.

I think lots of people at present are suffering with anxiety so you most certainly aren't the only one who feels like that.

I’m glad your daughter has recovered. It’s been a time of high anxiety for lots of people. It’s not surprising with so many people feeling cooped up and then all the negative news. Hopefully things will start to improve for everyone’s sake,

It’s so disappointing when you hear that people have flocked to the beach and left rubbish behind. People can be so thoughtless.

We’ve been lucky with the weather in the U.K. over the last few weeks so I hope your sunflowers do well when you put them out. I think we are due some rain for the next few days.

Ali 🙂

Hi Clericus,

Thank you for your update and especially glad to hear that your daughter is recovered from Covid19.

It's absolutely understandable that your anxiety levels have been raised and I'm glad that your GP has been helpful with this and increased your meds. I fear there will be quite a lot of mental health aftermath following on from this crisis for many reasons.

It's a shame in many ways that we have to emerge and flock to our beauty spots, so that they quickly return to their former state, after seeing them in their natural beauty for a while. But I guess we can't all remain locked indoors forever, and there are so many of us, and many who have been cooped up with too many people in small spaces, so that inevitably everyone is thirsty for a little change of scene.

Your garden must be such a consolation to you and your sunflowers will be a cheery addition right into early autumn. I hope you continue to enjoy it and stay safe and well! 🙏
