I live in Washington state where everything is slowly opening up and realized it is time to have my labs done. Was nervous in how this would be done. After calling my oncologist, they explained that they have tents up in parking lot for drive through. Only those with ports need to make appointments.
I went today it was great and faster than previous visits. Show up, they take the name info, take your temp which they put on you (sticky) to show the first part is completed. Pull up to next tent, and the tech comes out and takes the blood. That was it! Now, if everything else could be that easy!
Hugs to all and stay safe 😷😷😷🙋♀️

That word seems be lacking in our daily lives. Take care🙂

Hi Sheryljean, So pleased to hear that it wasn't the ordeal you feared it would be. With time we are finding solutions to do things better, thank goodness. Stay safe too and hugs in return. 💖🙏
Yes, I had a similar experience here in the south west U.K. At my local doctor's surgery I was greeted at the door by a masked, gloved nurse, given a mask and checked in. I drove through (in my wheelie) and had my blood taken by a masked, gloved nurse - no worries.
Later at the City hospital I was again met by a suitably protected nurse, who checked my appointment, then I washed my hands before entering. All the usual eye tests, injections and consultations were carried out by similarly clothed Docs. and nurses - no problems. I feel fortunate to be looked after by such caring people.
