Pigs Have Nothing on Banana Slugs

I was thinking of TexasLawman when I took the Banana slug photo on a 5 walk in the Northern California Redwoods.

They get to be 10”. They are hermaphroditic. Each individual has both female and male sex parts. Here is the biology part: their penises are as long as they are. Mating takes 24 hours, at the end they chew the penis off. Don’t worry it grows back.

Pigs are no contest.
