Just come off the phone to them, not much help as prescription was issued 16 April, no mention of doing an emergency one, all the Admin lady I spoke to is going to do is email Boots putting various codes in that they use

If it's not declared as an emergency then it will take the usual time to be processed by the doctor's and the pharmacy unfortunately

Hi Jennymary are you able to get an emergency phone consultation with your GP. When you phone the reception and she asks what it is for, you are under no obligation to tell the receptionist, you tell her it is a private and confidential matter. When you speak to your GP tell him it is causing you much stress and I'm sure the GP will be able to help. It's not the receptionist you need to be speaking to. I feel ever so sorry for you that you are still having to deal with this matter. I would also phone the GP receptionist and tell her you are contacting you MP surgery today over the matter and see how fast they sort it out then. Good luck. 😊😊

I bet they will sort the prescription pronto when jenny threatens them with speaking to her mp!

Its a bloody disgusting way to treat your patients though!

That's it you don't have to tell the receptionist why you want to see the gp if you don't want to or just make something up!

Hi Jennymary, Your GP surgery is actually failing you here and you are slipping through the net. I really wouldn't rely on any more emails. You need to speak to someone at your surgery. Any half decent receptionist will make sure a GP or nurse prescriber does something to sort this out for you. It's an impossible time to change GP but it sounds as though, once things are getting back to normal, you might consider doing that if there is an alternate in your area.

First write to the Practice Manager, and tell them you are considering taking this further to the CQC.

I think that between them, the Surgery and Boots have stitched you up like a kipper!

Your MP is also an excellent person to get wheels moving. Let them know you won't accept bad service.

Cheers, Midori

Thank you, I've had an ema from Boots this morning saying it's been despatched, they've even given me the tracking details

I agree with the Moderators. Enough is enough. I'm so sorry for this appalling treatment at a time when surely we all have plenty of worries already. The Government promised to prioritise prescription deliveries to those shielding or vulnerable so your MP should act. I trust he or she is not as hopeless as your surgery seems to be. I know the NHS is under pressure but this has been going on for weeks so no excuse. Good luck.
