Bought this last year looked like a weed only one bloom from local farm Auchencarroch. Glad I did a little tlc and look at it now. Don't know what it is but thought it looked like something you might find on a country stroll. Does anyone know what it is?

Looks a bit like a shrub called Kerria.
Correct! Kerria Japonica
Don't know what it is but lovely, yellow blooms always so cheery
It's beautiful. I see you have your answer as to what it is but the colour is stunning.
Yes happy I can see it from sitting room window cannot get out as recovering from my last bout of chemo but there is always something to brighten the day. Yes the colour is amazing
How lovely you can see it from your living room window. I'm sorry you are having chemo at the moment, a friend of mind has just finished treatment and it's all good. Here's to you making a full recovery.
Take care of yourself.🥰
Whatever it is I'd like a cutting! Gorgeous! Does it have a scent?
☺
Unfortunately no scent. It's called kerria japonica and should be easy to obtain. Also known as bachelor's buttons.
It is called kerria japonica. Lovely plant and, I have found, difficult to obtain. I had one that didn't survive being moved.
Thank you for your lovely wishes awaiting ct scan
Hi Madmolly, I had no idea what this was either, but now I do, having read your replies. But it was certainly a wonderful purchase. It's magnificent!
Yes I'm really pleased with it and hope I'll have it for years to come. When I remember it's original state I'm amazed
Oh, My Goodness! It is absolutely gorgeous!!! I don't know what it is, but it looks like some sort of Wildflower! The blooms remind me of large Dandelions! It is beautiful and i would love to have one like it. I think i am going to start searching around for one. Thank you for sharing!!! 🌿🌼💛🌼🌿
