What sort of things do you write.😊😊

I have wrote the school with no name, Harmony School, Harmony School Sergeant Cavill Mystery Solved and the silent dream of Chloe Rickshaw. Working on the last book. They are about drug's murder and family mystery

Wow, they all sound very intriguing, I guess it's tough breaking in to the publishing world, have you tried sending them anywhere. 😊😊

in reply tobobbybobb

Not yet. I am just working out the little bits of them like my grammar as that is shoot

I have taken up Calligraphy, partly to improve my handwriting. I still need lots of practice but have sent out thank you letters which people loved receiving. It kind of ties in with your other writing.

There is also the garden which we are transforming into a Jungle Garden, it's outdoor in the fresh air.

Hi Kamilla. What about knitting or crochet which you can learn from YouTube. Baking, if you can get flour. What about joining an online scrabble team or look on Google for ideas. There are lots of suggestions on there. x

Thanks I will try that

Have you thought about learning to knit?

I have taken out the easel and paints for the first time in years wonderful way to relax no matter how good or bad you are. I am also a writer and my first book is with my editor and it's at the final formatting stage so hope to publish over summer. Keep up the writing.

I can’t draw either and at Christmas I did a bit of embroidery. I quite liked that. I did a deer, a bear and a fox it’s a good way of producing something artistic without drawing. 🙂 Also you might like Cross stitch?

I have to say that one of my favourite relaxing hobbies is doing jigsaws and my energetic hobby has to be powerwalking. I also used to practice sugarcraft and am making a wedding cake next year for my son-in-law's dad's wedding which fortunately is next year. Making sugar flowers is very satisfying.

Blimey that's adventurous. I did a sugar craft course once for a christmas cake. I loved it. What cake will you make? Sponge or fruit? Ali

in reply toAgoodenough

Sounds like our backgrounds are similar, bet you enjoyed the course.

By the sounds of it it looks like the bottom tier will be a fruit cake and the 2nd tier will be a vanilla sponge. My daughter has said she likes the frills I put around cakes, think I'll be getting cocktail sticks😉

I've made a few wedding cakes but it's been 5 years since the last one I made.

Have you tried adult colouring books? They're easy enough to get on line along with pencils, felt tip pens etc

in reply toCraftyperson

No outside letter box yet to order them. Getting that fixed by ordering it tomorrow

I used to love French when I was at Junior School many, many (very many!) years ago. I’ve now started to take this up as a ‘hobby’ and hope by the time I get out of lockdown in 9 weeks I’ll at least know my way to the loo and what to order in a cafe when in France!!

I am also an avid knitter. I make colorful blankets. You never have enough around the house. Baby blankets are great to have on hand too. Have fun.

Hi Kamilla, I started baking! Which is a really fun way to switch off and the best bit - you get to eat your creations 😁 Also, I downloaded the Nike Training Club app, it's absolutely free and has plenty of exercise vids on it. I try to do yoga most days now since the lockdown, and I noticed it has helped me with stress and anxiety. I started a bit of Spanish on Duolingo - not sure if it'll stick but again: it's free and an edifying distraction. Anything you'd enjoy can help you through this, I heard people taking up knitting, trying puzzles or gardening (I started to grow herbs on my balcony as I don't have a garden). I hope you find something, have a look through apps, it's a good way to find something quick and free/cheap. Good luck!

Sudoku’s, Im up to Einstein level but it takes me days to finish. I have to put it down if I’m stumped and try again another day, especially when the suns over the yardarm, a glass of red doesn’t help with the concentration.

Crossword puzzles maybe more up your alley.
