Thailand has lot of tourist spots where there are lot of monkeys who are normally fed by the tourists that visit these tourist spots..

Now with human lockdown, there are no tourists visits any where in the Globe.. and so in search of food , these monkeys in thousands have entered inside the city from the tourist spots at outskirts.

Now there are two kinds of animals and birds : (1) Wild-normally these are Carnivores... these live on other animals / birds/ insects. etc. With human Lockdown, these birds / animals are not getting affected ....Rather these seem to be happy to move around freely and occupy our space / park meant for Human.

(2) Domestic animals/ birds : These are normally Herbivores which normally live in the city along with human near our living... These are dogs, cats , cows, parrots, monkeys......which are not getting food because of human lockdown...

it has been incredible to see how animals have altered their behaviour in different countries during the lockdown. i saw lions are lying on warm roads that are usually full of tourist vans in south africa and goats moving into towns in wales. i do feel bad for the animals that are no longer getting their food from their normal ways. hopefully they will find ways to adapt.

Hi namaha, I'm increasingly reading posts from members about animals who are having a tough time at the moment. It's really sad and it can be difficult to find ways to help them. Some do thrive, but it's hard for others. I don't have a solution sadly, but I do know that if ever I saw an animal which was starving, I'd certainly try to find something to give it to eat. As humans we should have compassion for all things. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way in which its animals are treated.”

Very sad with what's happening to animals, particularly those on the streets. We automatically think of the cost to human life and forget what's happening to animals.
