As some of you know I'm registered blind although I have fairly decent vision in one eye, and it seems there's a few of us on this forum with a visual Impairment.
A couple of months ago I went along to my reading group and a new lady has joined who also has a visual Impairment and she told me about a website that she finds very useful, I've looked at it and I feel there's a lot of info on there, the website is this.
Vision West of England
Even if you don't live in the West Country of the UK it might be worth a look

That's really interesting Jennymary and hopefully helpful to a number of people on the community. Thanks for posting!
Hi JennyMary,
I think this will be useful for my sister. You might remember from your involvement with the Care Community, that her husband has vascular dementia and is also visually impaired. She's endlessly trying to find things he can still do with his limited sight and his dementia, to keep him active and involved.
I'd love to see this on the Care Community forum too. Would you consider posting it there, or mind if I mention it if not?
