Did anyone have any trips away planned for this year, where to and do you think you might still be able to go?
I have a cruised booked in Norway later this year, i hope it still happens.

We had a Caribbean booked for the end of March.Should of been coming home Easter Monday.
Really gutted that all this kicked off and it was cancelled.
We got a full refund so have already booked for next February.
Hopefully all will be ok by then.

Its gutting isn't it when you are looking forward to something only to have it cancelled at the last minute!
I'm glad I hadn't booked anything for later on in the year now but I was gutted though when things I had been looking forward to were cancelled at the last minute as well but I'm OK now.
Hopefully will be all ok by then
So on Saturday I flew out to Mallorca and I am currently enjoying coastal walks, sea swimming and a few glasses of bubbly cava with my evening meal! I’ll be flying back on the 14th 😎 NOT!! 🤭
But on the plus side I’m enjoying the garden, painting sheds and the deck is now clean and varnished! 😇

Bali, Flores and Island hopping for our anniversary. Just happy to be safe and well. Wouldn’t book it again. Feel it wasn’t meant to be.

This is the year for all of our friends' weddings, three already postponed in the UK, with 5 still to come between August and December- one in New York, one in Texas and one in Portugal.. we really hope we can still go! Those were our big holidays for the year..who knows if we will be able to travel abroad by August though

So they will have the weddings at another time, will you go to them then if they change the dates?

That's good! Hopefully there is a chance then We will hopefully go to the rescheduled dates if they do reschedule them. It could be a case of being able to travel within your own country, but not abroad so perhaps they wouldn't reschedule as we are some of the only people travelling from outside of those countries. We will have to see though. As long as everyone can stay safe and get healthy, that is the most important thing to me!

Things can always be done when this is all finished.

We were booked to go back to Oban in July. I've kind of told myself we won't be going then won't be disappointed . Who knows 😊

Yes it is beautiful, I live in Scotland and have been going to Oban for the past 3 years and last year after 27 years together we got married in secret and then surprised all the family.
It really is a lovely place and while we're there we get the ferry over to Craignure and visit Mull and the surrounding areas. 😊

I used to go to Fort William every so often , i will have to get over again soon i think, its a amazing place and i do miss it.

Fort William is beautiful also , I was up there 2 years ago it was 30 degrees that day . We went out on the small boat to seal island then went to the Nevis Range to go on the mountain gondolas 😊

I go for the mountains and a look around, i find it very relaxing and calm up there.

I've got a weekend away booked beginning of June, back home to Yorkshire with a evening canal cruise with meal, don't know if will go ahead and if it does will it be a good idea to be cooped up on a coach with 60 people.
Only cruise I've ever fancied is down the fjord's and maybe seeing the northern lights. Hope you get yours
Oh and how could I forget hopefully going away for my birthday in Oct!!!! To Hampshire

Hi I had my 60th last April one present was Disneyland Paris meant to have gone last week gutted we are looking at December now. Also June Benidorm only paid £120 I am going to loose that and re book next year. Hope you get to go on yours keep safe

Well so far, we've had to cancel a week to the Lake District and a long weekend to Arran. Now worrying about our planned holiday to Devon and Cornwall at beginning of July 😟

Had trip to canaries booked for my 70th in April and my daughter and son in law were flying over from USA to surprise me there so sad. We had a few other hols booked this year,Norfolk for hubby birthday in May, Derbyshire with 14 friends in a mini bus in July, Warner hol with 2 cousins in August and one in Sept which prob won't happen as it's for Sorrento Italy. 😥 good thing I have a garden which this year will look lovely with all the attention it will get 😀

We were going on a cruise this month but obviously it has been cancelled. We are supposed to be going to Yorkshire for a week in August but have doubts that it will take place now. We had also hoped to go away in the autumn but we won't be booking anything until things have settled.
Last year we only managed four days away in March because I was waiting for an operation which we were told would be around June time and that I would need about two months to recover from it. In the event I didn't have it until November so we could have had our holidays anyway. Two years ago we were having an extension built so with all the upheaval we only got a short break away that year as well.
We had been saying that this year it would be better and we could have several holiday, but it obviously wasn't meant to be.

I had a trip to Madeira booked for May but cancelled it before lockdown so just lost deposit. I also had 2 Shearings coach trips to Cornwall booked for March & April, which I also cancelled before lockdown & received balances back but not deposits. But now I know the trips were cancelled I wonder if I could get the deposits back too. Shearings offices are closed but I could email them.

I had bc a river cruise booked in June
The cruise company asked us if we want to be refunded the money or have It postponed to next year
We took that option now looking forward to visiting several cities n France by river next year. We have traveled with this company 3 times so far they really Look after us

Similar to myself, I have changed this years Norwegian cruise to a river cruise on the Rhine next year.
