Hello, I officially start my Easter holidays tomorrow and would have been flying out to Zante in Greece! So I have decided to pretend that I am still on holiday at home Although I don’t think the food in this home hotel will be that good 😀But the cocktails will be 🍸each day I am going to wear my lovely dresses turn the heating up ( 🌞so I can complain and say ‘phew it’s too hot here!’) I know I might sound a little crazy but hopefully it will keep me smiling 😷😎

See you on the beach

not one bit crazy marjie. we all need to find things that make us smile : and this one (you) is going to make me smile.

and it comes at a moment when i really need a smile : had the first bad day in 3 1/2 weeks today (wednesday).

so,

don't forget to pack the suntan lotion, have a wonderful holiday, and i hope the airline doesn't lose your luggage!

been thinking about your holiday marjie, and decided it's not the time to get jealous, it's the time to decide on a destination for myself.

will it be the wilds of the scottish highlands, full of beautiful scenery and wonderful walks to dream of?

no, i think this is the right time for a long haul flight (one that i could neither afford nor tolerate in more "normal" times). i shall begin by booking a flight to australia, and while i think of what i'd like to see out there (including pete, the inspiration for my nickname) i'll decide on whether this should be more of a round the world trip.

maybe i should do a bit of hitchhiking and backpacking (whilst i neither have to think of the consequences to my back, or the dangers).

thank you marjie, for setting the process in motion.

and having just seen an ad, i thin i should travel back via canada, and include a stay in a lodge where i can spy grizzly bears and jumping salmon.

And there must be some pretty good travel videos out there to put you in the mood, or even the sound of surf on a beach. :) Have a great time. One holiday you will return from truly refreshed. :)
