Lovely picture of the tree and sky.
A lovely picture which says, Yes spring Is Here. Thank You...Love n. Hugs...Sprinkle 1.....
Yes spring has sprung, to prove it the cold weather came back last week. May parents got married on a 7th of April, snow so bad they nearly could not make it to the Meeting House in Tewkesbury. Granny always said we should wait until May for warmer weather clothes.
We were always told ' cast ner a clout til May be out ' (Scottish saying) - meaning don't pack away anything warm until 1st June. Chris
I remember when I was a nipper that you went to bed at the end of April wearing your thickest jammies and dressing gown and woke up the 1st of May and it would be warm and sunny.....
Now we have snow in April..oh how the times are changing lol...
Hope isolation isn't proving too much for everyone...I tell you what, it's making me think about everything and things will change over the next weeks or months that we are kept under house arrest...
Families are spending more time together and depending how much you like each other it should go well. Parents are actually having to parent. I know that these days people need to work but, at least spending time as actual parents hopefully will have a positive affect on some of our little angels.....
I am so fed up with everything that is going on at the moment, it's a strange time to live in for everyone. I have been wondering if the fighting has temporarily stopped around the world, or are the idiots still at it, and if it has stopped, woyld it be permanent. It will certainly give people time to see and understand that what they are fighting for is irrelevant. I doubt it will be permanent though.
I was speaking over the garden wall, from 6 foot away of course and the gentleman is in his 80s. He said is it just me or is it a coincidence that we have been away from Europe for just a matter of weeks and we now have this...he also said that Britain knew about this back in 2012 and like most places suffering, they did not take it too seriously...we had a lovely conversation over the garden wall..
People say that there is no real community any more, well people, except for the occasional idiot and there are quite a few, spitting at people because they picked up a loo roll before them... communities are pulling together. It's a nice thing to see. I don't think people have been as neighbourly since at least the 60s.
Take care everyone, keep well, and at a time like this murder will be swept under the garden grass lol x
Hi. That's a good post. Im fed up too and Im wondering what it will be like post-pandemic and Im anxious. Post-covid reality + brexit consequences is an interesting combo. Will we learn any lessons?
Nice you had a chat with the gentleman. I noticed that no one actually smiles anymore or chat to me. Take care x
Dear jevousaime4ever,
Is it Spring? You ask.... Well, the Blossoms are out, Plants are all Sprouting, The Grass is Growing and the Weather has turned Cold- Of Course It's Spring.....
Stay Well anyway
AndrewT
It certainly looks like it. 😀
Don't the blossoms look so delicate, a lovely picture thanks. xx
“Once upon a time, when women were birds,
there was the simple understanding that
to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk
was to heal the world through joy.
The birds still remember
what we have forgotten,
that the world is meant to be
celebrated.”
~Terry Tempest Williams
My most favourite time of the year. Everything fresh and new. Nature is ignoring the virus.
Yes it's spring😊and hope springs eternal they say xx
The gardens say yes, but still need to wrap up warm as temperatures are still fluctuating. Thank you for the lovely picture of tree in bud. I have tree with catkins on which denotes spring, crocus & daffs are dyeing back and tulips coming out, plus a full carpet of blue mini Hyacinth. Don't shed a clout till May is out is a good saying to follow. Life goes on no matter what and weeks role into years while nature continues in usual manner.
Beautiful scene
I hope you are ok
I sent you a message asking you to explain your concern in English
I can just about speak French but my written skills are not so good
Spring is God's way of renewing our hope after each Winter, and despite today's COVID-19 challenges, the daffodils are in bloom here in New Jersey, the brilliant yellow Forsythia line our Jersey roadways (even if we aren't driving so much right now to see them) and the pink of the blossoming trees once again bring that promise of hope back yet again. Take advantage of this 'time-out' being mandated in our normally too busy lives to 'look up' and enjoy the beauty of this gift of Springtime in our lives, celebrating that we are alive to receive that gift of Springtime bursting out all around us. Even here in our codo complex I recently captured photos of those islands of yellow daffodils and my favorite pink blossoming tree. Too bad I don't see a way of adding those photos to this reply (Maybe like this posting, I can open a new post and share them there - we'll see.
Beautiful photo looking up through the tree to the sky.
