You both are welcome. I stumbled upon Kidney X after rereading the Advancing American Kidney Health (AAKH) Executive Order signed by the POTUS on July 10, 2019. I followed the EO to the HHS where after entering several search words, I made a hit with the word, nephrologist.
The official accelerator name is Kidney X; Patient Innovator Challenge Phase 1 & Redesign Phase 2.
It is spearheaded by the HHS and ASN with lots of assistance from the NKF. Phase 1 submissions were due by September 15 and Redesign, Phase 2 deadline was January 31. I was lucky enough to make the submission date for Redesign, Phase 2 but didn't win anything. That's okay. Congratulations to the winners!
On a similar note, I must admit, I find it odd that the NKF sent out a "to action" email to all Patient Advocates to contact their Senators about pushing for Home Therapy today when barely a month ago, they were pushing back against the goals set forth in the AAKH EO as being to aggressive to meet Home Therapy. Ironically, the ASN was right there beside them.
I hate when politics interrupts my healthcare....
